Dwemer motif drop rates nerfed? And dwemer scrap now in containers...

Did they nerf the drop rates for dwemer motifs in v1.6? I went to the Dungeon I've used as my farming ground for dwemer motifs, where there was pretty much a 100% chance of finding a motif, and got nothing. But noticed that the containers now give Dwemer scrap?

You could always get dwemer scrap from the containers (well, always since it was introduced). That's actually where I got most of mine. Since 1.6 I've actually been getting more dwemer scrap dropped from dwemer spiders than I ever did before - I used to almost never get it dropped.

Don't know about the drop rate of pages, though. It was always rare for me to get one, and I haven't had one since 1.6 (I haven't gone and re-done the Fighters Guild quest that I was using to get them before, though).

I got nothing yet. Did three runs where I usually had one per run, but nothing came up. Of course it could be random, but I guess they nerfed the rate...

I haven't noticed the drop rate being slower. Keep trying to get the sample size up. I used to get a page maybe 2 of every 3 times I ran through, and it's still seems about the same for me.

I haven't noticed the drop rate being lower either. Last week I ran the same dungeon that drops 9/10 trips through and is only dropped 1 out of 10. It could just be a bad run of RNG like mine was. But OP I feel your pain because I was freaking out thinking that the drop rate was already nerfed.

Can't tell if it is lower,but I am cursed. Pretty low drop rate. I see 1 ever 2-4 dungeons... last 3 all shoulders

Really?? I never got scraps from containers (I do have an almost endless supply of Filtered Water thought...)

The first Dwemer Ruin I went to post 1.6 gave me a page from a jug. And the jug was on the outside of the dungeon. I don't know what it is about my Templar, she is the only character who has found any pages (3) and my other characters who have spent far more time in Dwemer dungeons have not found any.

I have also noticed the Dwemer Scrap drop rate seems to have done up, but that could be RNG being nice to me.

I've gotten at least a couple pages since the update. Where I farm has been pretty stingy as of late, so I actully up post update.

On the other hand, I've been able to add 1000gp to the price I sell them for.

This is literally the first time I've heard of containers dropping scrap. I've never seen that happen.

I've been feeling like purple drops are down since 1.6 as I've been farming loads on three vr toons for thief skill.

Purple drops have been down for a while. I think Purple Recipes were hit a long time ago, when the Crafting Writs were introduced. I have found less Purple Motifs in the past two months, but that's OK as my two crafters know all the Motifs, other than Dwemer.

I did a full clear of Razaks last night looting everything i could find including 3 chests.. Not even a single piece of scrap.

Funny thing is, everyone else I talked to always talked about getting it dropped from mobs, and before 1.6 that almost never happened for me. Like maybe 3 times ever. With all of my pre-1.6 farming I only ever got 19 dwemer scrap total. And I did a lot of farming with 1 character in particular. Since 1.6 I'm getting way more scrap from mobs. Maybe it was bugged for me?

Nothing in patch notes about drop rates for anything Dwemer. I'm about 40/60 on getting pages per run, so that is also about the same pre-patch for me. I think RNG plays a big part in this. It does seem scrap drops are higher. I got 5 in one run without killing a lot of respawns, the most I ever got before. That could also be RNG.

Bottom line, without a bigger sample size I think it's too soon to same drop rates have changed.
