What I want to ask is:

    1) Who cares?

    2) How does this affect you in any way?

    3) Why do all of you people who are sooo against grinding cry out for "play how I want!" but then expect ZoS to restrict every player to playing how YOU want them to.

    4) Do you realize that most grinders are competitive PvP players and don't enjoy PvE content AT ALL. PvP offers very little XP, so what's worse, forcing people who really don't like a certain form of content to do it, or allow them to grind, stay competitive, and, overall, leave you be?

    5) You realize that this is a GAME and not a fascist regime, right?

Removing the lol button was almost as bad as the introduction of the CP system. most grinders are not PVPers since most people play PVE not PVP and there's prolly an equal percentage of people grinding on both sides.

THis is about exploiting the game and then grinding, not just grinding. Just read the OP before trying to be a smart ***

This should be treated no different then the bank dupe bug and bans should be forth coming.

Set everyone to 115 CP, ban the exploiters just like you did with the bank dupe bug, and call it a day.

Doing a rollback would affect everyone and honest players would lose their work. It may be possible to only rollback certain players but that would probably take more time and effort than what is need. Probably the best solution is to reset the CP points for everybody but set them to 90 instead of 70. This would basically reward the ones that didn't abuse the problem and punish the ones that did. It's also a nice round number of 30/30/30.

I see many parallels in these champion point complaint threads to pre-launch "nerf the user interface" threads of people being scared they might not get a group for a dungeon because their health was too low to survive a single boss aoe that automatically hits the group ;).

    This cannot be emphasized enough:

    "

People will say it so long as it suits their direct wants, but hold it up to a double standard if it doesn't.

It's this attitude that has continuously caused ZO to make grinding a less viable option. Grinding and exploiting don't have to be synonymous.

The problem is that when you get a group of people who are obsessed with gaining imaginary points faster than others, they almost always find ways to cheat the system. So if you don't want ZO to keep lowering XP on grinding spots, stop exploiting bugs and just play the game. It's really that simple.

Not everyone who grinded out CPs the first few days was exploiting, however. To rollback EVERYONE would be unjust.

The problem with ZoS rolling back CPs is that it would affect players who were innocently grinding as well.

ugh, it was a bug placed on zenimax's part, they can't ban or reroll anything the players grinded or did for themselves unless they specifically exploited the system themselves, otherwise zenimax cannot reroll anything.

stop making threads about it, it's unfair and totally farfetched to even suggest it

The bank dupe bug was ZOS' fault too, but they didn't let the people that exploited it keep their 10,000 Imperial Motifs, did they. Also, many of them were banned.

Most of the people who did it never got rolled back or banned. I still know people who still to this day have mule chars full of gold mats, and what not.

Bingo. Just because a few may have gotton banned for this, a majority got away with it. This will happen with CP. They will fix the exploits and leave those who exploited ahead.

Been playing these games from Ultima Online beta to now. Asheron's Call was a hell of a game and must say think it was better than EQ (going to take heat on this one). It is where the theme was started never play on patch day! Roll backs were normal for the game and it pissed people off but the strange thing is people didn't leave. You want to play these type games then you have to accept the fact stuff isn't always going to go as planned. People that exploited never bothered me and most of them ended up leaving the game because they did it all and never had an effect on me and my play style.

Have faith is the moral of the story and ZoS will end up fixing the problems in the long run. Play the game your way and stop worrying about everyone else.

Another words play the game and have fun!!

I don't get the idea that grinding is an exploit. mmos are based off of the idea of grinding. lvling grind how ever you do it, crafting grind, gear grind, gold grind, and on and on. if you play an mmo you are grinding.

Does anyone have any proof this bug resulted in people getting 150-250-800 or whatever the latest number is? Any people bragging post screenshots on reddit or any other website like other exploits (bank one for example)? No? Ever wonder why that is? You guys are being trolled. Noone has massive amounts of cp. Its all something a person made up to see if he could get everyone to panic. It worked perfectly. Went from people getting 10 extra to now people claim 100s and 100s extra.

Yet not one screenshot. Not one video. Not one stich of proof whatsoever. Its on the internet tho so it must be true.

really doesn't matter if they have "proof" or not. ZOS can look and see who has what and if there is an exploitable instance for CP I hope they fix it and so something to the exploiters. I don't believe they should be banned but "IF" they did this, they should have their CP rolled back to 0. (ZERO) They knew it was an exploitable circumstance and went after it before it got nerfed. Roll their CP back to zero. That means no 70 points for having a v14 character at best. At worst they are reset to 1.6 release day of 70 pts.

They dont need to roll back everyone. Just like when duping was rampant, they didnt need to delete everyones imperial motifs and gold mats. They know who is and who isnt.
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.

A couple questions for ZOS support:

    1) Can we get an official word if the grinders who went on a PTS-premeditated marathon exploiting the Enlightenment bugs and ended up with hundreds of CP (the equivalent of half a year ahead of everyone else under the current nerfed system) will be having their CP rolled back to a reasonably appropriate level, say 120 max?

Will we really be letting these people secure an unfair advantage through exploits just a week into the new system?

    Also...

    2) Can we PLEASE raise the CP through Enlightenment per day back to 4, and do what you should have done in the first place, which is put a hard cap of 5 CP per day by ANY means on the system, to stop grinders and exploiters (who will find a new exploit in a matter of days), as well as those that have no real life obligations and will play 24-7 until they fall over dead in an internet cafe somewhere from pulling even farther ahead from the rest of us?

Why was a hard cap on daily CP not considered before a nerf to Enlightenment which only punishes casual players which constitute the vast majority that don't marathon 24-7?

    Thanks!

    Bolded is from me.

I understand your frustration but I have to say I find that part in your post very offensive. I have seen this type of statement before by many here and it merits being called out because it is a stereotype that needs to go away.

To illustrate, I have three friends currently playing this game who have been here like me since beta, of which two are retired and one is disabled. They are at home 24/7 pretty much unless out for trips, vacations, etc. They play every day for like 3-4 hours in the morning and again sometimes 3-4 in the evening or late at night. They enjoy their free time, have friends, dinner parties, camping, etc., and their online games. They have in other words, a life that makes them happy.

Each of these friends I am referring to landed a VR char at 14 long ago and so started with w/70cps from the lauch of 1.6. They are already well ahead of me by far as I have only played 1.5 days since it went live. They are likely way ahead of you as well. One of them experienced englightenment issues which the other two did not. None of them exploited anything.

I cite this personal example ofmy friends to point out that lumping any people with lots of time to play into this no/lifer stereotype and exploitation boat is offensive at best, at worst it just shows ignorance and intolerance of other people. Playstyle is not synonymous with exploiting and unfair advantages.

That being said, there are many things not working correctly with this system let alone logically, given how some of it was desined. Suggesting possible improvements is always a good idea and they have certainly asked for that in this thread.
