i dont give a monkeys about CP rate tho i would like again to feel rewarded for my time, i'm talking about normal xp to get to v14. it's a joke
and don't say glib stuff like "play the game" like you'd be happy to pay zos and play for 2 years and not reach lvl 10.
everyone wants a decent amount of progression , to say otherwise is completely idiotic.

Most people who started at launch reached VR14 ages ago. It really isn't that hard.
More importantly, the veteran system is on the way out. Once the kinks in the Champion System are ironed out, it'll be gone.

it really wasnt that hard , it is now. i know exactly how easy it was with the boss grind. hell when v12 landed i managed to do the v10-12 in kardala in 3 hours before they fixed that, however to say its not that hard show you completely miss the point.
HARD isn't even a word for this context. nothing is hard about it, but is it fun enough versus time spent doing it?
no, the more repetative activities are in a game the more rewarding they need to be to compell folk to do it.
so since theres been no new content to do for ages they need to reward folk for persisting with repetitions of existing content.
this is where they are failing in a monumental way.

I never did a boss grind while leveling. Or any kind of grind, really. Questing isn't repetitive, but it could feel that way if you don't read or listen to the quest story.
I'm currently leveling a templar through VR. It seems pretty much the same as it was when I was leveling my main. Just no exploits for grinders to powerlevel their characters.

What about the people who have done every quest...and read every quest...or listened to the whole quest story already? Do that 8 times over? I'm so fried with the same quests over and over again that it actually makes it worse to try and read or listen to them again.

You'd be surprised how many MMO players disable xp altogether, they just want to do all the quests without out-levelling them and advance at their own pace. By the same token, a lot of players from launch aren't VR level yet or anywhere close. They don't see the need to get the whole game over just so they can complain about lack of content.

I ask this as someone who also levels alts: what did you expect? 8 different ways to get to max level?

So before I answer your question, lets try and answer mine.
"Questing isn't repetitive, but it could feel that way if you don't read or listen to the quest story."
---->
"what did you expect? 8 different ways to get to max level?"
Are you agreeing that it is repetitive to do the same quests 8 times over?

No, I was speaking to the act of leveling a character through questing. Actually doing the same thing 8 times in a row is repetitive, but this is why I asked what you expected. You're leveling an alt. That is, by its nature, a repetitive task.

They expected regular content updates, or just any kind of updates at a pace of one per 6-8 weeks (with acceptable minor delays).nerevarine1138 wrote: »bchulettub17_ESO wrote: »nerevarine1138 wrote: »

[T]he questing storylines are on par with a mediocre graphic novel. They might be good for a video game, but they're very poor for entertainment. ... if I wanted to quest for 400 hours I would have bought a single player game.

I agree with this sentiment. When you look at the big picture, many of the quests are the same: Go here, fight this person. Go there, collect that item. Just because they have different dialogue between the running and fetching doesn't make them engaging. Plus, the dialogue in this game is not well written nor well voiced (for the most part). The moral choices you have to make in this game are laughable. The "tough" decisions you have to make in this game have no consequences. You still get a useless reward, and no quest lines are closed nor new questlines opened depending on your "choices".

I'll just say, "To each their own." But know that your opinion of the writing isn't shared by most people. Especially considering the scope of this game as an MMO, I found the quest and character writing to be absolutely superb.
As always, it'll be a matter of taste, but I find it difficult to believe you find the dialogue in this game to be "sub-par" if the par is determined by the average standard of video game writing.
They want you to buy XP Potions in the Crown Store.
How is this not obvious to you?
