right now i have alt 10 lvl with 40 lvl craft lines and 50 lvl provisioning

i must deliver all craft writs to the Rawlkha(Reaper's March) and provisioning writ to the Vulkhel guard(Auridone)

Based on the nerfs to hirelings and deconning it seems that ZoS is trying to discourage low-level crafting alts. While your idea would make writs more convenient, I doubt ZoS would be open to it.

I think regardless of your player level or crafting level the writs should be for the zone you pick them up in with the mats that are available in that zone.

That is probably the best idea. I guess when they designed the system in their mind people would make equipment for their characters level then apply new points to the skill line when they needed new equipment. The thing is with the deconstruction system it is very easy to get an alt to make high level equipment. I personally made several of my alts with the idea that they would be supporting the main character I was playing.

There is nothing inconvenient or uncomfortable about it. I pick up six writs in Craglorn, and hand in six writs in Craglorn. It's not a chore at all.

It's not inconvenient if you don't make an alt solely for crafting benefits.

You want a level 10 alt crafting level 50 gear? Deal with the inconvenience.

You're not being penalized. You're suffering the completely predictable consequences of deliberately not leveling an alt. Don't like the consequences? Level the alt.

I had a level 23 alt delivering writs to Coldharbor before it was moved to Riften. Not a problem at all - everything in one place, port in and out only once. The problem lies elsewhere: with characters having different crafts at different levels. For example, you maxed out Blacksmithing and Clothing, have Woodworking lagging behind and decide to start levelling up Enchanting. Now you have to port between Belkarth, Rawl'kha and Vulkhel Guard every day when you could just deliver everything to Belkarth. And why not? What difference does it really make except making players spend more time jumping between wayshrines?

It's a minor inconvenience at best and a bit of discouragement towards creating low-level crafting alts at worst. Not something that needs fixing.

This is how it should work for all zones though. Have you ever picked up a writ outside of Craglorn? Not the same.

I would love if we had courier stations where we would send writ materials out. That would be great!

Well since the crafting writ idea was a way to help players raise their skill line through a daily quest line why make it so difficult for them to complete?

One lore option is to have a port available in the mage guild that you are charged money for.

I support this, I dont want to go to Craglorn all the time to hand in my stuff.

Any trading post would require goods. I don't see why they cant all accept it.

I personally approve of the way it is currently. You are crafting a Lvl 40 item, so you must deliver it to the Lvl 40 zone; that just makes sense to me.

The only thing I would support as an alternative is if you could only pick up writs appropriate for the level zone you are in, so eg you could only pick up a Lvl 10 writ from the zone where you have to deliver Lvl 10 items.

the thing is - ZOS made provisioning deliver point based on HERO LEVEL

Oh I didn't realise that. Was that intentional, or do you think it's a bug? One way or the other that needs to be made consistent across the board, and I don't really mind which way they take it. @ZOS_TristanK could you please take a look at this discrepancy?

That's not the case, as far as I know. Provisioning simply has fewer levels, so it probably skips over some delivery spots.

When you're completing a writ, you are fulfilling a specific order that was made for specific goods to be delivered to a specific spot. Asking to be able to drop it off to any tradepost you want is like if a pizza delivery guy just took his pizza to whatever house he wanted, and expected to get paid.

It's not like it's ever difficult to get to the drop-off anyway - just use a wayshrine. None of the drop-off points are in areas where you run the risk of having your low level crafter attacked. The only difficult part is discovering the wayshrine that you need in the first place, and even that is pretty easy if you're in a guild or otherwise have friends who you can teleport to.

Exactly this... I only have to use wayshrines half the time.... more often than not its a lot quicker to just have a quick look at who's online in a big trade guild and TP over to them in the area I want to get to.

I think its better keeping it as it is... if you get a survey report then you're already in the correct zone then.

I don't think that's true. My provisioner has been delivering writs to Sentinel in Alik'r Desert since she was level 24 or so. That's a level 31-37 zone, and she's doing max level provisioning writs (although having said that, the writs always call for level 40-45 food/drinks, even though she can craft VR10 items, and I'm not sure why this is).

You can't get writs for veteran items until your character is a veteran. I'm losing out big time because of this with my enchanter, but I really can't bring myself to level her up.
