All text now too small for my display

The 1.6 update has now caused almost all text to be too small/unclear to read. I have a somewhat unusual configuration but I can't see why this capability got downgraded. 1.5, everything was fine. 1.6, all text shrunk and even at max interface scale is just not good enough. I can't tell the difference between 909, 808, 505, etc. My display is a 1280x1024 projector, which until now provided great full-wall large screen immersion. So unless I'm missing something obvious, this is a big disappointment. I could go buy a new higher-res projector, but why should I have to do this? It was just fine last week.

in the settings you can scale the interface or try to reset your settings and see if that help.

Thanks but, as stated, I already have it scaled to the max. I presume very few people still have a low-res display like this, but it's annoying to have a perfectly usable system downgraded for no obvious reason.

    Same problem here.

Before update 6 I had my Interface Scale slider set most of the way to the right to make everything larger, but the patch has reset the size of my interface WITHOUT resetting the position of the slider. This means I can only move the slider a little bit further to the right before it's maxed out and that doesn't make the interface much larger than it is by default. The resulting problem is that I can no longer get my UI back to the same size as it was before the patch (I can't even get close).

Needless to say I've already tried disabling addons, resetting the video settings to their default and repairing the client. I've even tried deleting all user settings (including the cache) manually and letting the game spawn brand new copies of those files, but none of it made any difference to the behaviour of the scale slider. For some reason the slider is convinced it should now scale from "tiny" to "slightly larger than default" instead of from "small" to "large" as it used to!

PS: I already sent in a bug report, but I just wanted to chime in here to let the OP know he's not alone in this situation.

Thanks for the confirmation. I think we're in a minority but there's obviously no need to make everything so tiny. The chat box scale slider, in contrast works fine...so at least I can read that.

I may have this too. My text got small, but I had enough slider to get it up to ~ where I had it before.. I think. Not sure exactly where it was before, but it is at max slider now.

doing 1600x1200 (old square photoshop monitor's default/optimal res)
