I need Corn for my food but I haven't been able to find any. Does anyone have tips as to where to look for them?

Guild Kiosks are a great place to get ingredients from. Also, you get multiple 20 stacks from Provisioning Writs, even with no Provisioning skills at all. I have a high level crafter that makes food for everyone. My 4 mules and two characters that have no skills in Provisioning all do Prov Writs most days.

Provisioning Ingredients are easier to get now than they were when I was farming boxes.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yes, and no. If you don't have the ingredients needed for the writ yet, then you have to scrounge for them. But, I do agree that you get a great variety of ingredients from the writ rewards (more that you do from your hireling). So, I think it will be easier to build up your storehouse, but if you don't have all of the necessary ones to start with, then you'll have to look around a bit at the outset.

Yes, you can buy from the grocer, but they charge 150g each. Probably better off buying from a guild kiosk.
