I am (was) getting too much Enlightenment - solved

So yesterday I decided to break from Cyrodil and grind out the enlightenment (lets call it EM) on my main character. I thought you could have up to 1 CP worth of EM at a time, but upon receiving my 71st point I found I still had EMt. So I ground out that point too.
Upon receiving my second CP I still had more EM. I figured maybe this was "retroactive" or "built up" EM from the system launching a few days ago so I thought nothing of it.
After getting 4 CP my EM finally ran out.
Now today I logged on and as expected had EM again. So I went and ground out the point (only takes about 30-40 minutes to get a CP with EM) and discovered that I had more EM for the next point. I got that CP also. And yet again I have more EM to get my third point. I assume there will be enough to get my 4th point today also.
ZoS, I assume this is not WAI? Does this have anything to do with the fact that I have 4 VR characters?

I have seen reports of the UI SHOWING you have enlightment and are gaining CP, but when they go to spend them they are not there (since technically they had no enlightment and therefore didn't actually earn the CP). traigusb14_ESO2✭✭✭✭✭I think the official line is 3 or 4 points a day. If you don't play you can bank up to 3 days.

✭You are getting the right amount, every day you should get enough enlightenment to get you ~3-4 CP points.0 -
Xelphos✭✭✭You get 4CP worth of EM per day, or something like that. So basically you can make 400,000 regular XP, but EM will increase that by x4(4 times), so it will be 1,600,000XP0 -

It will bank 12 Cp worth of enlightenment exp, not 12 days :P.

From todays patch notes:
"We fixed an issue where more Enlightenment was being given per day than intended. You will now gain one Champion Point worth of Enlightenment per day"
