Made a forum post about this in beta, I see that was ignored. People were complaining about the trial notifications so obviously having the same thing for friends on screen would be worse. Please make an option to turn this off, don't know why this wasn't thought of, don't know why it got ignored in beta.
There is no reason this doesn't have a toggle in settings. And a visible floating number always on screen is annoying.
