Siege damage on players is laughably bad. Fix it, double it.

pre 1.6 (average health pool about 3000)

Fire ballista - 400 damage/tick, 600 vs vamps (642 with dark elf passive)

Each tick was about 1/8th to 1/5th of a health pool, depending on vampirism

1.6 (average health pool about 25000)

Fire ballista - 2000 damage/tick, 3000 vs vamps (approx, the numbers fluctuate a fair bit)

Each tick is about 1/12th to 1/8th of an average health bar.

You need to double the damage, as this is but one example. Oil is even more hilarious.

    Yup, i been saying this for months, with some replying "oh you will give newbs god cannons" which is just a cop out as siege anyways is easy to avoid giving you close to 3 seconds to move out of the circle.

    I will say this though, there are a few skills that work very against stacked groups, very very well. :)

    Assuming Rylana's are correct (and based on what I experienced yesterday they are) counter-siege is now a complete waste of time. Geez. I wish they would play their own damn game once in a while.

    I agree siege damage should be greatly increased, but I don't think the average health is 25k.

    Siege is supposed to IGNORE ARMOR NOW in 1.6 and its doing LESS damage than it did before the patch...lmao.... wonder how many weeks it will take to make counter siege relevant again.

    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    I'm wondering it this wasn't done in anticipation of a lot of new people coming in due to B2P. they were afraid new players would be "toasted" in PvP and get turned off by it. Of course it happened to all of us when we first went in to PvP but that was a different situation I guess. Nerf as much as you can so the new guys will stay around and buy costumes.

    I think it's bugged. The patch notes implied that siege would do more damage than in 1.5. It clearly does less, a lot less. I like using anti-personnel siege, but now they feel like half-ton potato guns.

    This can't be true they said in the patch notes:
    • Siege damage will no longer be mitigated by armor.
    • Increased the damage done by siege weapons against players by 10%.

    Sorry, I can't say that with a straight face. Siege against players is not effective regardless what they spew in their patch notes.

    I have used damage shields to mitigate siege damage for ages now, I concur it works.

    It's still going to do bonus damage to the shield.

    Think it was the night before last night I was oiling some enemies from above the tower, I barely saw their health bar move and the ticks were like 3-4k.

    How can it be that low if siege is no longer mitigated by armour?

    Ballista where designed with the game . I'm great with my class . The lower level people use to be able to help with running ballista since they aren't very strong anymore . In DC we need as many as we can get and a lot of DC are still leveling due to lack of population and available help . Those players need to make a difference again and have siege available and some what effective at crowd control . If you played DC vs EP on TB you might get it .

    I know what you mean when doing siege set up no longer have to pay attention to wear am I standing cause unless its meat beat it just ticks down my health bar very little, meat bags do better but its an utter joke.
