I can slowly feel im getting back to my old self for sure, after exploring the new things, and having fun with new setups/builds as well, still missing a few morphs to really get into the fun of things again, but can see my dps slowly improving for sure.

Just letting you guys know it for sure aint all sorcs that feel like they have no place in this game

    Yep me too, stopped at VR6 months ago and loving my new ickle pet Sorc again lvl7 so far.
    The new update feels like a new game so far (just hope the veteran system is gone by the time I get there).......

    Here's hoping

    What the hell?!
    What is that guy doing to get curse down to 900 from ~6000?

    Ok. Close to max spell resist, so 3000 left.
    Blocking with a board, so ~1300 damage left.
    I guess defensive CP investment do make up the final disparity?

    How hard could that guy hit you?

    Only play pve side of this game. Still using the same skill set I had prior to the patch. Allocating the cp points made a difference and if anything, my sorcerer is more powerful than prior 1.6.

    My build is based around fire/resto staff & the two pets.
    Your immersion is breaking my entitlement. Buff Sorc's.     no idea he never did was ravaging my templar mate who has to heal/shield himself significantly...

    They reduced damage done in cyrodiil.

    My Sorc experience after 2 days...

    I have him well geared, 2.4k spell damage etc, and clearly still haven't got the rotation down yet, but been trying a few things and brought the DPS from uber sucky up to average.... and hopefully there's still plenty of headroom as I improve the skill rotation (Though I still dont think it seems even close to the DPS other classes seem to be getting very easily!)

    BUT...

    ...He's a LOT more fun to play than in 1.5!!! :)

    Feels more like a Sorc than just using CS spam.

    The only problem is that my new Templar mage feels even more like how a sorc should have been (Minus blink), and is even more fun! :D

    I agree Flaminir, I love my sorc more and more for each day I learn more about the changes, the champion points and how mechanics work now.

    The fact that I have to make lots of rotations to keep all my dots and such up, instead of one cast spam, is so much more giving, the fact that I dont just block cast that much anymore either, makes the game feel more alive in some way as well.

    still im probably the worst thief in this game still :D
