What Happens To All My Stored Crafting Mats?

I've not been in game yet to find out, although I had a load of crafting materials (mostly for provisioning and alchemy) stored in my bank which I'd taken out of Crates, Barrels, etc. I now see that when you loot something from a crate or barrel it is classed as 'stolen'.

So what exactly will happen to all of the mats I had stored in the bank? I was planning on selling them on the guild store, although apparently you can't sell stolen goods on the guild store. Will they be marked as stolen now even though I looted them before patch 1.6? If so, I'm guessing I won't be able to sell them to a guild store, but can I sell them to a fence?

Previously collected mats don't become stolen, so you'll be fine. Many of your provisioning mats may have become 'old' though, and the only use for them is to sell them for 10 gold each to a vendor. The rest of your provisioning mats will have converted to the new ingredients.

Also, in 1.6 not every crate, barrel, etc is one that you have to steal from: just the ones with owners (the vast majority of the ones in towns, but not the ones in delves, etc).

All the stuff you have already is fine - it won't be marked as stolen because you didn't steal it originally. Crates and barrels etc outside of town in dungeons should still be fine to loot as before as they won't be marked as owned.

Many provisioning ingredients have gone "old" though and all you can do with these is vendor them. You see them renamed as old thin broth, old cake flour etc.

In addition to many ingredients now being obsolete and marked 'old', many (most?) others have changed name and sometimes even their type, so even if an ingredient is still used in recipes it may be different from what it was before.

So don't worry if you can't find a specific fruit, meat, or whatever you knew you had, if you can't find it it'll have changed to something else.

I don't think you can put stolen goods in your bank at all.

But you can go to a fence and either sell it (if it's not otherwise useful) or launder it (in which case you can put it up for sale.)
