I always keep in mind that the first time the game comes up after a patch or update can result in crazy long loading screens while the game does something in the background. With 1.6, each character is being reset when it loads, so the game sorts through stuff the first time the character is loaded. I am talking on the order of a couple minutes more than usual, enough to be more than noticeable. Long enough for people who are sensitive to this time increase to think the game is hung. Since I am one of those, I just wanted to mention this. Sometimes, after a patch, I have to take a walk during the first few loading screens. The game is almost always loaded when I return.
Once the game is loaded, and the characters are loaded the first time, then crazy long loading screens are not normal. I have had a few long ones at wayshrines since I started playing this update, but none that were so long that I was logged out or had to kill the game.
That is not to say that the game cannot hang during a loading screen, making it endless. In my experience, this is pretty rare and has only happened to me a few times, most of them back in April. I would definitely wait several minutes before declaring that the game has hung, somewhat less than that when using a wayshrine or entering an area, and no more than a minute if it happens when just running around.
I would not be surprised if there was still some performance tuning on the server that was pending.I've entered one of the Outlaws Refuge with my main character and now i cant even login with that character. After loading screen is down game just crashes ...

My guess is that the support team will have to help. Although, the first thing they will likely tell you is to Repair and disable all add-ons just to make sure that everything is OK on your end.
I agree lord richter , but 2.30 h loading screen just doesn't seem right in my opinion

It certainly isn't right. It only takes me a couple of minutes to log in and the zones I'm in on the EU server are fuller than ever, so I'd have thought there was definitely a problem at your end. Where are you playing from, home or school? Single or shared connection, wired or wireless? Has anything changed since pre-1.6? Have you tried a full re-install? Have you raised the problem on the technical support forum or submitted a ticket? What are your system specs?

When the game worked fine before the update, it certainly is not on our end.

Err...sorry but that's not a guarantee. The "game" is dependent on a lot of outside factors. Audio drivers, graphics drivers, etc. The game may have updates that presume you have taken the time to perform basic maintenance on your system (updating) and ... well not performing said maintenance would actually be on your end.
Not saying that's the case here - saying the statement above as an "absolute" is potentially fallacious.
