Your bounty will decay over time - depending on how high it is at this point it may take a while. But it will decay while you are logged out as well.
And I'm not sure what you mean by intended - is it intended that you are fugitive of the law that couldn't and/or wouldn't pay so they killed you? Yah probably. Granted I don't know alot of characters that run around with no money.7 -

Yes it is intended. What you should be doing is going to the Thieves guild/hidden fence place and using the banker to get gold to pay for your crimes. If you don't have gold in your bank the only way to escape your cycle is to go into Cyrodill where their is no justice system and chill for a while.

✭I had the same issue. I put all my gold in the bank (leaving zero in my inventory), and I didn't lose my bounty after the guards killed me. I just stealthed around them until I could pay off the bounty. Not a big deal, unless you need to get to the bank.
It seemed easier to escape the guards when I tried this on PTS, maybe I just don't have my groove back.0 -

Only if you have enough gold to pay the bounty on you at the time of death. They pull it off your corpse and call it a day. At least that's how I understand it.

OK, then go out into the wilderness and earn some gold the way you used to do pre-justice system. Come back to town when you have enough to pay off your bounty, or when you can sell items to the fence again, whichever comes up first.

Well, the guards may have killed you, but your wanted poster has still been passed around, so the next time guards see you they're all like "Hey, there he is again! He must have faked his death the last time!" and so they go after you again...It is somewhat funny that after ur dead, the law still applies to u and you need to pay haha. I get why it is that way being a game and all but it's still funny. Talk about beating a dead horse!

Uh, have you been to the Fence? Do you know what the concept of a Fence is? Bottom line: no, you do not have to wait to sell stuff. And if you'd been to the fence you'd know that you can even pay your bounty there.

I don't think you understand what he's talking about when he says "I have to wait till I can sell stuff again." In 1.6 there is a maximum daily number of transactions you can make with a fence (which increases as you add skill points to the appropriate passive in the Legerdemain skill line). I'm pretty sure that he was saying that he's already sold his maximum daily items to the fence, and has to wait before he can sell more, which he needs to do in order to have money to pay off the bounty.curlyqloub14_ESO wrote: »

Oblivion was like that.
Was in a store and picked up an item that was on a counter, wanting to then purchase it. The store proprietor shouted that I was a thief, and two guards charge in to hack me to pieces before I could even drop the item.Crotchety Old Man Guild

Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
