My comp has a new OS and 8gb of ram. Which are both new and no prior pc problems at all.
The new 1.6 patch is crashing my entire computer after a few minutes of play. Is there any way to fix this?

dawnhawk✭✭✭I would recommend you contact technical support with a game consultant. There are too many unknowns happening that you haven't explained and they will work with you to get it running.

✭I'm getting something similar. Since patch last night I keep getting random crashes. It starts with the screen freezing and the game is unresponsive and then eventually I get the Windows error window stating that the program has stopped responding and do I want to wait or close the program. It seems to happen when I start to move/turn but only randomly so I can't reproduce it at will.0 -
Yeah this whole patch is unstable. Yesterday I was fine, played for hours straight. Tonight log in, DC'd twice in 40 minutes. I hear rollbacks are occurring in pvp and some zones. Although the OP's issue sounds more specific, actually sounds a lot like the old memory leak bug.You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

✭I've crashed more in the last 28.5 hours than I have in the past 3 months or more. Several guildies also having similar issues. I also had terribly and unusually high latency almost all day, checked in other games and other servers, ran a repair. campwn✭OK a found the solution!! For me it was being caused my my old addon folder. I would still crash with them disabled and deleted.
Go to documents and find your elder scrolls folder. Drag it to your desktop for safe keeping or just scrap it if you do not care about your screen shots.
When you re launch the game that folder in your documents will be regenerated. Now go ahead and get your new and updated addons.
Note I also run the game as admin and set the priority to real time with the task manager. Go to details then right click eso.exe.
