So did your game patch up fine while at work?

Great news. Got home and game had patched up fine as I left my launcher up through the day. I did have a "incorrect version" error and it wanted me to repair but I restarted my computer and that went away. Now in game just fine.

Big relief!

I always do this on patch days. Set my PC to not go to sleep, and leave the launcher up. This way it is always patched when I get home. I made the mistake of not doing this once, and that taught me this lesson. Of course I spent a few hours getting my hirelings set back up (no other skill points or CPs except on one character) and moving inventory around (I can retire two of my mules now, yay!!) And of course reinstalling my addons. So, I have not really played the game yet. That will be tonight.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    No. :'(

Fortunately I get to go home at lunch, which lined up quite nicely with when the patch started downloading. I had an error, my SSD was full.

I promptly uninstalled a bunch of programs that don't ask where to be put (rawr).

Had to repair and then the download started again. Was all done when I got home. :)

[EDIT] PS. After the game was all good, I had like 20GB of space free on my SSD - once I put the program I needed back on even.

    No.

When I came home after about 12 hours, the patch was at 21% and downloading. An hour later, it was applying patch and went up to 67%. Now its downloading again ... about 5 GB to go, at about 400kb/s. My connection isn't superfast.

I won't be able to play today. But: never play at patch day maybe the correct motto anyways.

We should have some patch mechanic that downloads patches on demand like Neverwinter has. Maybe updating other stuff in the background while playing (like GW2). We really don't need all these voiceover files right when we start the launcher.

It did yesterday. I then spent a few hours murdering and causing general mayhem before bed...and then did it again this morning before work. Letting the bounty depreciate while at work... o:)
