Champion point gain
Has anyone else found the gain if champion points to be extremely slow? Last night I played for ~6 hours and completed the vet daily, AA, did some spell scar, and went on a murderous rampage. Granted I spent roughly an hour setting up my gear and build, that's still 5 hours of actively doing endgame activities. By the end of the night I had gained just more than one quarter of a champion point.
Now I know they said enlightenment would speed this up but it still seems excessively slow to me.

Deandra✭✭✭Exp gain seems to be about 1/4 the previous value, which is a really drastic (and undocumented?) change.4 -

✭✭✭✭✭I only went to my favorite grind spot for about 5 minutes to test my build a little but did notice I was still getting the same XP there, so I hope it isn't just specific activities have been nerfed to fit their pace to where grinding, although already nerfed is way better again than enjoying the game to where they start hunting the spots out.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, XP gains do seem fairly reduced from what I was seeing. The vet pledge (full dungeon clear and quest turn-in) netted me about 40,000 XP.----

I guess I'll have to find a new grinding spot now that spell scar has been nerfed heavily (~800 xp per trash pack).0

Not a pleasurable experience at all making 10% progress in 2 hours!The Champion System should have rewarded Champion Points based off of achievements and feats earned through excelling at end game content not grinding your life away vs mobs in order to stay competitive. This system is uncreative and is a great example of extremely lazy system design. Yes, you should be embarrassed0 -
I think enlightenment is only granted after not having played for 24 hours (correct me if I'm wrong!). If that's the case then people who play every day will never be granted enlightenment.2

Best way to grind CPs is to make alts, grind them to v1, then do all the dolmen/objectives/etc and grind until v12 or so, then delete and repeat.
It's stupid, but with the Craglorn XP nerf there's just no good XP out there for v14s (and there won't be until October/November, probably).

I think its so long as you do not perform combat to use it, it accumulates automatically.
Maybe that would be a good time to work on a sub-50 alt to get ready for having enlightenment for a VR toon.0 -

✭You have to forget craglorn as a grind spot. The mob XP open field in craglorn was nerfed. Try grinding in veteran rank areas with a lower VR char.0 -

✭✭This was pointed out time and again by those testing on the PTS, the only decent way of gaining XP is to repeatedly run alts through the full gamut of quests in both veteran alliances - no other method of play is viable if you want CP. Just need to go through the unpopular VR grind another 100 times and you will be done... dribblingly insane... but done.
ZOS chose to replace unwanted grind with much more unwanted grind, yay!
As another cynic pointed out the crown store will doubtless be selling boosters for XP or even a 'drink this 100 crown item to get 5 CP' potion... after all they aren't anything but time savers.Edited by Tavore1138 on March 4, 2015 2:29PM1 -

This would make sense if people already at 'end game' had not seen a drop in power as a result of all the other changes.
I.e. Try playing a stamina focused build while they proudly boast of increasing the cost of block, dodge, break free & stealth. You need a serious number of CP to make a melee stamina build as viable as it was yesterday.6 -
