With the arrival of 1.6 im sure alot of you havent played the pts and dont realize how innefective your 1.5 build and even your thinking on how youll need to build will be...
Its DRASTIC!
Be prepared to completly relearn yur toon and enjoy it. I spent a little time on pts and have actually enjoyed the opportunity to explore new playstyles and abilities.

✭This post. I just - no.
To be honest I LOVE my character AS she WAS.
I know I will have to change a few things (have played PTS) but saying stuff like the above just shoots THE LAST ELEVEN MONTHS IN THE FACE and makes me think you must be like lvl 35 and/or subbed for a very short time.
I put a LOT of time into my character as well as gold! A lot of hours got both my character to the level she is and myself to the confidence and skill i have when playing her.

✭relearning your class/builds is pretty real in 1.6.
I had a good Templar build in 1.5 and now I just don't know where i should start with templar, I don't even know if I want to continue maining my templar lol.~Thallen~0 -
Definately agree with this one. Patch notes are also a must read, well the class changes and combat mechanics bits are a must read if you are not prepared to read everything. Good that they format it nicely for you to scroll to the section you want.0 -
deleted221205-002626✭✭✭✭✭U runnin heals or what? Im pure heals but found 7l too little armor. 2heavy more than doubles your armor/resists and seems much better for starters.. dont wanna give away all my secrets jus yet lol0

deleted221205-002626✭✭✭✭✭Well i initially found on the pts that my 1.5 build and way of thinking left me with wayy too little armor/resists and wayyy overkill magicka regen and not enough stam which is also major in 1.6. On pts i could block maybe 3x n then was dead on the ground.0

✭I have done AA, Hel Ra, half of SO (just ran out of time) and 2x Vet Pledges on PTS and other than spell resist (using a different set) and adding 2x heavy - MY build is working pretty much fine - needs some fine tuning but that is it.
This is why I am a little WTF about your OP.

Racial Defensive Passives, if you have a related one come in very handy now. With my Breton Spell Resist Racial and Templar Balanced Warrior, I make up alot in spell resistance (base 5000 equivalent to about two (head chest or leg) heavy armor piece) when wearing 5 light armor and 2 heavy in 1.6. I used to do this in 1.5 when soloing mainly for the looks but now I am glad it is more useful now.
I also have gear set for 5 heavy and 2 light (might use medium instead) during solo in addition to using drink buffs intead, for better regeneration so i can remain sustained to use my active abilities often in swarm fights or boss fights where break free is important. Delve or solo dungeon bosses that spawn nightblade adds.

deleted221205-002626✭✭✭✭✭I insist on being vamp(and wish i could play as one more) so i find my dark elf fire resist most useful for me. I also made a 5heavy set just incase but think ill end up settling on 2 so i dont lose too much magicka regen0

deleted221205-002626✭✭✭✭✭I actually tried to have a skill bar dedicated to vamp on pts. It was hilarious chasing the chicks around feeding on them and stuff but couldnt really get a mostly vamp build that was actually useful0

ScruffyWhiskers✭✭✭✭✭So I had a 127 Magicka regen in 1.5 which is now a whopping 870 in 1.6 Same gear and attribs. Is that pretty par for the course? Stam regen scaled down the same way as well.
I hope I get used to this but I am really not liking the power nerf so that we can grind champion points. And let's be honest that seems to be exactly what happened.
Oh and PvP is a mess. Radiant Lag. I stole that from zone chat but I like it.0 -

deleted221205-002626✭✭✭✭✭I havent been on pts in like 2 weeks but i think i had more like 1700 magicka regen and whatever the equive to 63 reduction on 1.5 is. Was soo major on pts i couldnt get my magicka below 80 percent actually so i went 2heavy and invested more in stam which helped massively.0
