Crown Store Race or Name Change?

As I have played this game over time I have learn how I like my build, and what I like about the games lore and styles. I was hoping for some time now that we would at least see a name change option, with the crown store none the less... I would be all for race changes if that is ever an option, but a name change should be ok right? It is kind of funny, the part of my character name I want to change is just the Surname lol, but the is literally nothing in the Crown Store that I want, so I hope they add services one day so I can make use of the Crowns I will be getting as a subscriber because I could care less for costumes. mounts (yes, I dislike guar lol), kits, etc. We certainly will need many more things to spend Crowns on, I for one am hoping for character services like race and name changes.

✭✭Race change seems silly to me, why would someone do that? People should make up their mind when they create the char, lore and faction shouldn't be changeable.
As for names, I understand the urgency if someone might has named a char after her boyfriend and now hates that guy. But for this I believe we already have the customer support who would gladly help there. Still, a once in a year chance for crowns doesn't seem to be too bad. Then again it can be abused for trolling like at the game we don't speak of

I'm fine with high cost or a cooldown or whatever they want to implement to make it as prohibitive as possible to jump from race to race. I just want to use it one time and one time only ... khajit -> altmer.You earned the 500 LOLs badge.

While I understand your opinion, I must disagree. Not all of us play this game for the lore. Of my 17+ years of MMO gaming I have never played a game based on its lore.
Many are min/maxers. Some while not concerned with fully min/maxing made decisions based on the stat or skill bonuses as they were at launch. Yes, This is an MMO. Yes, ZOS has the right to change things at any time. But if they are going to change the service, I should be given the option to change that with a fee (if not for free). I get a respec with the patch for ability changes, why not a race respec if/when race overhauling changes are made?2 -

Agreed, the racial passives are being changed with this 1.6 patch slightly, but there is not reason we should not be able to change our original build. For example, Dunmer fire resist was reported nerfed yet we were not told about it. So I think it is fair that I can change my race for the price of Crown and my name likewise.Pact Bloodwraith0 -

A 30 day cool down on race / name changes would be good IMO. If ZoS did this through the Crown Store though, it would be a loss in money to put a cool down on it.Pact Bloodwraith0 -

Katava✭I would like a name change option. Possibly a look or race change option at some point. Other people I know would like to be able to pay to change factions with a character. We will see if it ever actually happens though. I am doubtful it will happen any time soon.VR2 Templar Healer

Instead of "race changes" I hope Zos introduce a racial passive channelling system similar to how the mundus stones work.
Allow our characters to temporarily channel/adopt the blessing of a different cultures racial passive.

I tried asking once, and no, they won't change your character's name unless it breaks the rules. So I'm one who's waiting with great anticipation for the name change options. I named my characters with certain build/playstyles in mind, and found myself leaning towards totally different builds then I had intended. For example, my DK was going to be my warrior/tank, but she's now my mage, whereas my Sorcerer is my thief instead of my mage. The names I picked for them don't seem to fit as well anymore.
As for race changes, I don't mind it as long as it's not too easy/cheap, to avoid flavor of the month in PvP. I'm still not sure how that would work with the whole 'races are locked into alliances' thing, though.
