Is it safe to keep 170/170 inventory during the update to 1.6 ?

In the early versions of 1.6 players with a maxed draft horse would go from 170 max inventory to 160, losing 10 items in the process. Is this completely fixed now?
I haven't noticed any issue on the PTS but updating a server with an active version of each character may work differently from the PTS where saves of the characters get copied to an already updated server.

Feel free to correct me if I got the update process wrong.

On PTS, I had items missing when we had the first NA character copy, but when they copied us again for 1.6.2, everything was where it should be, even though my main had 170/170 slots.

We opened a report for my son as some of his items disappeared from his current inventory. We were told to check his inventory in the PTS system and see if they were there. Some were some were not. The lost items never made it back into his inventory to date.

I personally made sure that all Characters and my Bank are at least 10 short of full just in case. I've also cleared all my mail as well, again just in case.

Just to keep it safe i cleaned my inventory space to 100 slots (while max is 110, with horse 170), but well since riding system changing i guess its risky to keep inventory on 160 or something like that with bag horse, my advice is to change to speed horse and clean inventory to 100, maybe its not needed but its 100% safe.

yeah there were some people losing stuff due to the horse being made different on PTS, and the concern is if its not fixed it could happen when they go live again.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_GaryA Apparently I'm not the only one wondering about this and some players have indeed lost items on the PTS, so a clarification would be really nice.

Is 170/170 inventory safe?
Should we stay at 160/170 or even 110/170 instead?

my bag is 65/110 right now, and im keeping it that low, not gonna risk losing like 6 pieces of worm cult or something like that

I had this happen to me some patches back, on most of my characters actually. I'm just curious what the 'safe amount' to carry is. I really wish ZoS would weigh in on this.

While I'm using a horse that doesn't come with space other than was it is fed, not only did I leave my toons light by 15 openings, but just took screen shots of my Inventory across all 8 Toon's and the Bank

Yeah, and in some cases, characters who only owned the Imperial Horse were loosing all of their horse inventory.

I dropped inventory items 10 below, screenshotted the characters, banks, and guild banks, just in case.

Having it fixed on PTS and having it work on Live are not always one and the same.

I also pulled anything from mail I did not potentially want to lose.

They changed their initial plans, so with the new system it's possible to get +60 attributes through riding skills, which equals out the old stats. So if you've had a maxed draft horse, you'd end up with the same 170 slots you've had before (+60 skill). Wouldn't worry about them.

it should be fixed but better safe than sorry. having 110 items in your inventory would be the best course of action.

Anything less than FULL/FULL inventory spots is UNACCEPTABLE.

I buy a game.....I play the game...I spend game resources on bank spots....and game resources filling those slots. Then the game has problems, changes it's system and relaunches.

Suddenly, my inventory space is going to shrink and my items are gone? I THINK NOT.

I did the best I could. I emptied "most" of my mail (except last days) and I made sure my account wide bank was 10 items short. (Even though I shouldn't have to worry about it).

If I come back missing some Morag Tong or Shadow Walker pieces I'm going rage quit instantly and make it my mission to talk crap about this game wherever I can.

I've been patient ever since launch, I've been supportive in the face of a relaunch, and actually just bought 90 more days of ESO Plus. THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. PERIOD.

Amazingly they actually did fix it in 1.6.2, imagine that.

It was a simple issue of the game not assigning a mount to you by default and therefore not giving you the inventory slots based on your Riding Skill. Now you get the slots even without a mount assigned.

Completely forgot about this, but I just happened to leave my inventory at around 114/150.

What I am also wondering is that are we going to have to re-invest all the gold we put into our horses; and IF so, are we going to get reimbursed for that wasted gold?

Nope, your highest horse stats will be transferred into a per character Riding Skill and your horses become skins all your characters have access to.

So if you have 3 horses, one 50 speed, one 40 stam, one 20 carry your Riding Skill to start will be 50 speed, 40 stam and 20 carry on that character.
