The Elder Scroll of Lava (Thornblade NA)

So TKO decides to pull Chim from Rayles. Second attempt of the night. Lots of blues on. Anyway, blue had been pushing south so we figured what better way to bring them north.

Anyway, our resident Dragonbenson is the carrier, an unfortunate direction call leads to hilarious consequences for the next hour. The lava river south of Rayles became a bloodbath for 45 straight minutes as people tried to jump down and pick it up. Many thousands of AP were to be had. Eventually Red'Ak regains control of the scroll stuck deep in the ravine, and yours truly hatches a plan. Give me the scroll, ill ferocious leap out of the ravine.

Chaitanya, thank you for the assist, my blue frenemy, as I leap out, victorious, only to be destroyed on the ledge. Then the real scramble begins, camps are thrown down on both sides as siege rains down upon the hapless Lava Scroll of Death.

The amazing Frogblast manages to pick it up, I cover him and go down gloriously as....

RED out of nowhere ambushes the few remaining survivors of TKO, stealing our sweetroll and attempting to run northeast. Blues being nonplussed, give merry chase, and a rather hysterical three way fight over a scroll about to reset in just under 10 minutes ensues with Blues having almost immediate keep respawn eventually getting it back and recapping it.

Was a good way to end this season of PvP on Thornblade and looking forward to the shenanigans of 1.6.

I really am glad this stuff still happens, hopefully blue with its less numbers when they recover scrolls starts trolling factions there are a few spots in that river to jump into that no one can get up from with dragon leap or any other skill that lava in that area is lovely.

From now on we should call that scroll the lava scroll.

OMG that scroll last night. After it went into the lava, we LoM broke off to go take Ash/Brindle/Nikell during the confusion. Zone chat erupted with "don't grab the scroll!" Or "let it reset" or "defend Ales" but the damn pugs wouldn't disengage, and some people (not to be named) were screaming for all of DC to get the scroll. I saw frogblast jump from brindle to go get the scroll just minutes before he picked it up. Good times.

As a member of the red team that ambushed that yellow scroll carrier, my group was surprised the scroll did not reset. We definitely had fun grabbing that scroll from AD and running with it for a short bit before DC and their respawns took it from us. If we had flipped Glade first, we might have been able to return that scroll to its proper home. Thankfully the EP night shift was more successful than we were.

LOL A lot of DC was pissed after the first drop when I level 30 DC player picked it up and reset the reset timer while it was still in the lava.

That was the best time I've had in Cyrodiil in ages! The only thing that compares is the Great Battle of Three Armies at Warden in 2014, with a scroll laying in the snow. I don't remember if it was on Dawnbreaker or Wabbajack. But Morinth and I watched the battle from the mountaintop between hundreds of blues and reds until 4 in the morning.
