We read your post so no reason to be snippy. Did they explicitly say there was no guild voice chat or something? I don't think so. They already said there would be /say and /group voice chat so it stands to reason there will also be /guild and probably /raid channels as well as custom channels for PvP or socializing. I mean if you can't communicate with your guild..what is the point of a guild?
Yeah, whatever it is it's going to be limited. That is for sure. It's also going to be inferior to Vent or TS3 and likely to be a source of lag. Glad I'm not playing on a console because the console communication options will certainly be inferior to PC. Too bad the ESO PC version is being developed and dumbed down for the inferior platform.

I can't speak for PS4 but Xbox One party/in-game chat options far outweighs vent and team speak

PS4 in game voice chat is clearer and less prone to problems than vent and TS on PC.

What may have an impact is the number of people in a chat but again no game has really pushed the limit so details, details, specifics are needed from ZOS.

Well I'm not sure what you are envisioning but what I'm envisioning for a 5 guild system where people are members of multiple 500 member trading guilds is that it will be a nightmare. The PC version has logically divided chat by guild with the option of vent/TS3 if needed/desired but you aren't cut out of all guild communication if you don't join TS/vent voice chat. With no in-game chat options you are left with voice only so it will either be a huge cluster#$# @ of lag and annoyance or severely limited or both.

Where did you get no in game options? They have said repeatedly there will be a chat box. All you have to do is plug in a key board to use it...

I haven't heard them say that and I didn't get that impression from the last ESO Live. It sounded like voice chat would be the primary or only communication option. Even if there is a chat box..how many people will be trying to chat with a keyboard on the couch with a controller? Sounds terrible in any event.
Didn't they already say on ESO Live that there was VC for consoles? I believe that is the only form of communication consoles will have.
