NB in 1.6 (not ranting)

Yo guys!!

I always pictured NB as a stealthy rogue assassin dualwielding and Med armor wearer.

But right now all of the abilities that are fun and really stealthy uses Magicka and Magic dmg.
For example, i have 35% crit chance physical, and 0 abilities that uses phys crit chance.

My question is: Will Ambush and Killers Blade scale off of phys crit chance, because i saw it deals phys dmg and uses stamina.

If yes....then i LOVE 1,6 xD

I think Killer's Blade and Ambush do. (I know one of the morphs for Assassin's Blade and Teleport Strike do.) I know one of the morphs for Veiled Strike is stamina based now. There's a bunch of abilities that can now be morphed to pull of stamina, scale with weapon power, and use weapon crit, in 1.6.

Actually, they already used physical crit. The change is that they now scale off of Weapon Power and Stamina and not Spell Power and Magicka.

Which is great for stam NB's but for a magicka melee NB it really sucks. Losing Ambush is a game changer. I've been trying to see how Lotus Fan would work but it gimps my burst so badly that I might have to end up using unmorphed Teleport Strike for my gap closer. There are no other magicka based gap closers available. I really wish ZoS would re-evaluate Lotus Fan.

Im preety sure they didnt...i was testing it on elite mobs...i would spam killers blade and it would never crit with 35% crit...and i used more than 50+ attacks...

Am glad that Stamina builds have some Class based options now, but really agree that Lotus Fan needs an examination.

Is there any chance of taking another look at Lotus Fan morph of Teleport Strike in the Nightblade Assassination skill line?
The fact that people feel the need to leave the skill unmorphed rather than take the Lotus Fan morph is a strong indication of how unappealing the skill is for the builds it has been decided to be directed at; morphing a skill should make it into a more appealing choice, it should not feel like taking a step backwards and becoming more weak.

Not all melee NB were stamina. I was magica.

Not all magica-based melee NB wore skirts. I didn't.

But hey, for a year stamina NB complained (and I'm sure many quit) and now it's our turn.

I have a question, the new killers blade morph will be stamina based and scale off that, what about the ranged morph impale that costs magika, will that be left to rot or what? or will both morphs be stamina based.

No the ranged on is still magicka, so if you want to morph it and keep it spell damaged based, you can do that. Or you can change it into a stamina attack.

Yeah, stamina NB was a complete joke for a long time. Utterly unplayable during the first months after launch, loads quit the game because of it. People had to wait until patch 1.4 until things started to improve and than it was mostly buffs for bow-users.

Now they're "re-balancing" the game again by turning magicka NB into gimps and stamina NB superior and mandatory. Same utter bs all over again. Why cant they learn? Why is it always Nightblades getting the short end of the stick? My templar and DK will also get stamina morphs in 1.6, but unlike NB they will still have viable magicka options :disappointed:

Well no, it's not. They definitely made the Stamina based NB more viable but in the process really crippled the Magicka side needlessly while at the same time killing off the hybrid builds.

I was a hybrid and am very unhappy with this forced direction. I won't wear a skirt and carry a stick so my only viable "choice" (if you can call it that) now is to go almost full stamina.

I posted this on reddit but I'm going to post it here to with the hope that maybe Sithis is listening.

I just got off of a few hours on Thornblade after having respec'd my morphs again and this time I went teleport strike with no morph to compare to the Lotus Fan I had been trying out. Huge difference. Even without the 36% bonus on my follow up concealed weapon or soul harvest, I was still bursting so much better. I was competitive again. Whereas before I would hit with Lotus and follow up with attacks and watch my opponent recover and then heal up or shield up....this time I actually beat a bunch of targets down and finished them off with impale.

So I guess it's unmorphed teleport strike for me until they fix this. I use Stygian and have 1600 stam so ambush is sort of a waste. I need a magicka opener. I hope the Listener hears me.
