So what's ESO's endgame once Tamriel Unlimited drops?

brandon.coker101_ESO
I'm still a ways from 50 so I haven't really kept up but my understanding was that endgame consisted of vet levels which ran you through the other factions zones and craglorn. But I hear that vet levels are going to be removed right? So what's the plan?

Veteran levels will be removed, but not with 1.6 and not with the start of TU, as it only starts a few days later.
I wouldn't even expect them to be removed before console launch.

    ^^ wrong

They said 6 months ago that they would remove veteran levels at one point, but now 6 months later, and with the release of update 1.6 where veteran levels will stay in, on both pc and consules, its more then likely they going to keep it in now.

Especially since, from now on they going to work on 3 platforms to push updates after this update, that means longer wait on major releases, they even told us, dont expect any major releases then this one in 2015.

This game will take much longer then normal for any updates to come out, and if updates comes like new zones, imperial city and such, u going to have to pay for it as a DLC.

To me, end game is PvP.

As soon as I am forced to do tons and tons of PvE content to stay competitive in PvP, i'll retire. Undaunted is a great example. Refuse to do the same dungeons over and over. Luckily the bonuses aren't deal breaking.

Vet levels or not...doesn't matter, there will always be some type of grind to do to level. Which is fine, as long as you can grind either with a group or solo.

    Reften
    Bosmer (Wood Elf)
Moonlight Crew (RIP), Misfitz (RIP), Victorem Guild

VR16 NB, Stam build, Max all crafts.

Azuras & Trueflame. Mostly PvP, No alts.

Semi-retired till the lag is fixed.

Love the Packers, Bourbon, and ESO...one of those will eventually kill me.

They have said a lot during those streams and it turned out to be bull. So we really can't take what they say as truth.

Same as it is now, you just don't have to go through the two other faction quests on vet levels to get there, but like everyone is saying it'll be a few months. So PvP, groups, adventure zones, that sort of thing.

Also I don't think additions like the imperial city and such you will have to buy, they did say adventure zones will need to be purchased, but content updates, I don't think so.

Endgame is the same as it always was. Veteran Leveling was never endgame, it was a stop-gap measure until they could release Craglorn and tweak Veteran Dungeons.

    Currently, Endgame is as follows:

PvE- Trials, Craglorn, Veteran Dungeons, Undaunted Pledges

    PvP- Cyrodiil

    Aaaand that's it.
    Shendell De'Gull - V14 Vampire Nightblade

    Captain of the Black Howling

You got it. And all the stuff they promised up until now? Its under a heatlamp staying nice and warm for the b2p newcomers. ZOS has no regard for us early adopters.

Main endgame other than PvE grinding for gear is PvP. Hope it improves in 1.6!

But the boss heads... Every dueled with a good player using the Malubeth set? What about vamp spammers using Bloodspawn helm spamming batswarm non-stop? Then, there are stam players wearing 3x/5x vicious serpent with impen spamming skills at you like crazy. What about PVP tank players who wear the master's 1h sword healing themselves like crazy. The truth is that PVPers are already forced to grind PVE.

The truth is that items like Vicious Serpent (vendor trash in 1.6) & Master's Weapons are achievable by doing PvP as well.
To get them, you have to be in top 2% of the leaderboard when a campaign ends.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing equally powerful PvP specific sets, as long as they aren't easy to get (tie them to Arena/BG leaderboards for instance, when those get implemented).

Especially something similar to the Undaunted helms would be nice to see as PvP rewards.

Right now the intention is to farm Champion Points. With those your chars will become stronger and be able to do content easier.

New content has not yet been announced and wont come until July.

The same as it is now - dungeons, trials, pvp, etc. Just instead of the Veteran Rank system, which is a serious nasty grind we get a new progression system that is 'pro alt'. Because when you earn a CP you earn it for your entire account (all characters) that means those of us that like to have multiple characters are not advancing one character at the expense of the others. That 'work on one is at the expense o the others' effect is largely why i could not stand the last two WoW expansions.

They never, ever said ESO would always be sub-based and would never go B2P or F2P. You can't make assumptions based on things a developer or PR rep says, in many ways devs and PR reps for publishers are just like politicians.

I feel you man, but don't tell someone "wrong" as if it is factual when your opinion is that they will do something they have specifically said they aren't doing.

I get that you don't believe them or think they will give up on it, but it's kind of up to zos to drop that ball. At this point they have said vet levels are still coming out and it's come from various sources.

As for OPs question, I think they have a couple new zones and similar 'dlc's' on the back burner (which kind of sucks for those of us that won't have gotten new content to play since November) so once they get a month or two past console launch they will probably start releasing some DLC. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about their plan to make new zones accessible to everyone. Good from one perspective I'm sure, but for true end-game, they may be limiting themselves by not giving real end game content to players actually at the end of the game waiting for new and harder content. This is fine until more and more players get there and find out the same thing some of us are seeing now. But, we'll have to see the details as they get closer to putting this stuff out before worrying much more I guess.
