'F' Menu needs two more options...

  1. Ability to "Challenge player to a duel"
  2. Ability to "Inspect" player (view level, equipped items, etc...)

Thoughts?

no player inspection. it's hard enough to find groups without having people reject others because of their gear.

im sorry i though of something completely different when i though of the phrase " F Menu "

as for suggestions, no reason not to on either count, can have a "hide gear" option if you really feel like people knowing what your gear is like an invasion of privacy.. have seen that before.

    Duels in a designated area...ok

Creeping on my panties...only if you get locked up in player jail for 24 hours for being a peeping Tom....or simply: NO
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I have already been booted from groups just because my main character is a. khajiit dragon knight and not dunmer. if you would like to know about somebody's particular skills stats or equipment just ask most people are happy to answer such questions.

Duelling? Yes, very much so! Could be a crime in city areas though, so better find a spot without guards...

Inspect? Yes, but... not gear. Instead I would love to have a small description players could set... (but then, I would, being one of those pesky roleplayers who'd want a backstory for each and every character ;) )

Then you'll get booted anyway because they'll think you have something to hide.

I have a guildie getting bad comments for not being a templar healer. Another for playing a Khajiit sorcerer. No need to make it any worse.

No. No inspect. And PvP - well, Cyro is PvP area, so go there and fight as much as you want.

Yes to dueling (with an auto ignore for invites) and no to inspection. I wish humans would treat each other better than they do but because we already know they won't there's no reason to give them more ammo. This was actually the primary reason I left WOW back in the day.

I've been booted out of groups because of having low dps (i have no idea how high my dps should be (magicka based Dunmer Sorcerer)), almost certainly true that my dps is less than itshould be, as i have not upgraded my gear past vr14 blues (crafted).

Yet in the week i have been playing (resubbed after taking a break since little after Craglorn released), i have always managed to make it through every veteran pledge at max rank with no issues.

So, no on the inspect, yes on duels.

    Yes and yes.

Although obviously inspection is very unpopular, not quite sure why. People say they get booted out of groups for certain things? Do you even really want to play with these people? If I do a pug I don't care what people do as I assume that half the group is going to have to carry the other half anyway, that's just how it works. If I wanted to do it properly (which is 99% of the time) I just play with people I know are good, a.k.a guildies.

As you can see just the thought of inspect makes people angry. Myself? I have nothing to hide. My Breton Templar can tank well enough, if someone kicks me for that it's their loss, not mine. :D

if we had working lfg tool, no, i would not mind if i could not play with some people who won't play with anyone not in purtple/orange gear.
but as it is, i kinda need any group i can get.

I wish the old forums were still active. It'd be fun to take a tally of how many times duelling has been suggested since ESO was announced.

So guys are worried about getting kicked from groups for being inspected and not having gear they claimed to have? That certainly wasn't what I meant by the idea, I like being able to see what players have equipped so I can work towards it if it looks cool. There would need to be both an option to hide gear/stats and one to auto-reject duels.

No need for inspection. If you want to know what someone has equipped, ask them. If they want you to know, they will link it.

The hilarious thing with people kicking others from groups like that? In games where you actually have inspection functions? You frequently find the people running those groups don't live up to their own requirements.

No, it's watching zone, and joining up with one of the assault forces to rampage around for awhile. That's fun.

It is not a must, we are doing fine without it. If you see nice looking piece of armor, or title you want, why not just ask person who is using it? If you ask politely, people will answer, or maybe even offer to craft said armor piece? It happen to me few times, when asked about armor piece. ''It is Imperial heavy, gold quality(just example), I can craft it for you if you want/have upgrade materials''. Makes game more social, and any inspect option will not give you chance for that.

If you ask about title/achievement, someone may also tell you how to get it/what is best way to get/farm it.

Yes. All the above. But the inspection should tell you simple stuff. Like what style motif the armor of the individual is wearing. I couldn't tell you how many time when I first started playing, I would run up to someone with what I thought was cool looking armor and had to bother them with a whisper to ask what motif it was or what drop it was.

Out of curiosity to all the people saying "No" to dueling, why? What would it hurt? I'm sure there'd be a feature to auto-ignore duels.

It'd be pretty fun to test out builds with friends and not have to set up the build, queue for Cyrodiil, find someone to test it against, only to be steamrolled by 600 bodies and be left with no more information than you started with.

Also, I'd be able to toss duels at the little d-bags that like to snake chests/resource nodes while I'm fighting a mob on top of it. Sure they wouldn't learn manners or anything astronomical but it would make me feel better.
