Grouping tool, please

How many people is playing right now and why the hell I can't find 3 guys to group up with? (I don't need this "use /z" advices, I need explanation about grouping tool).

By the eight, search tool. Please. I can understand, you're new here and you have a lot of questions. But you can easily find answers on most your questions by using search.

This game would be 200% better with a functioning grouping tool. I'm amazed after a year there still isn't one!

yea grouping in this game just not working
i lost 2 hour only to make the first Instance in the game
i just give up , same fail for cyrodiil , for sure the best grouping tool for r v r is from warhammer

now in cyrodiil everyone dont know where to go and run anywhere alone and get zerg is so lame , the tool i just show you , someone make a group and other player just have to join the group or raid and no more spaming

is so much easy ,is just a great tool also for casual player or player who have any guild

I agree. The lack of a working LFG tool is one of my biggest gripes with this game. Please fix it ZOS! And if it's working and it's just that people aren't using it, please incentivize its use.This a very common practice in MMO's.

There is one and it worked great up until October or November.
It's needs to be turned back on or whatever was changed needs to be enabled again.

I agree. I'm new, so I don't know if the LFG system is broken or the game is empty (I'm on NA server) - but I sat in queue LFG for Spindleclutch for my entire 4 hour play session yesterday. Found no one.

A little more then a week ago, when I had the entire day off I tried to find a group for a world boss - once again, 6 hours and I was unable to find 3 other people.

Hopefully it gets fixed, or they completely replace it with a new one.

The group tool used to work back when it was first released. Not sure how long its been broken but I can sit in it for 2 hours and get no group, sometimes I get one in 10 minutes.

This really should be fixed, and an in-game notice should probably be issued encouraging people to try it out....cuz at this point I feel like people don't even bother assuming its broke.

By my egg! I think it's time to consider other options for grouping. Everytime i use the grouping tool it seems to just make me group leader and add one random person to my group. How does this thing work? Does it find more people? because I can never find more than 3 people. I've waited hours but it never adds people. I'm thinking i got to do it myself.

Is it working but people think its broken so no one gets on it? I think there should be something official explaining how this thing works or if it works.

Suggestions:
Perhaps allow functional text that allows you to click on a group invite and be added to the group. I know it seems pointless but it does make a difference. Maybe people are shy or don't want to look or read but i've seen this in other games and it made it eaiser for people to join. Make the text bright, clickable and conveinent and they will come.

Maybe make it a more user friendly tool that shows you whats going on and puts a shout out for you. The tool has all the info on i (place, char needed) why can't it help advertise? Can someone make an addon?

I think if the grouping tool advertises every now and then(with reasonable limits) and puts out clickable text to automtically group people that click on it; this will fix the grouping issue and make people participate in groups more often.

It's unfortunate. I was a BIG believer that the grouping tool was no longer broken.. it just didn't work because no one used it. Well, that was my thoughts before I logged on for over 5 hours with the grouping tool going.. and I was a tank! Who doesn't need a tank?? Well who knows..

Best suggestion would be to ask in zone and all of your guilds.. WHILE having the grouping tool running. If you find someone, invite them into a group, and the grouping tool will continue looking to complete the group.

At least this way you will most likely find a group in a decent time frame. As well, if the grouping tool is fixed (or if it is broken now, when it is fixed in the future) at least it will continue being used so that it has people to put in a group. If everyone completely abandons it.. even if it does work, you won't be able to find a group due to no one using it.

If ZOS had fixed the grouping tool, I assume we would see a notice in bold letters telling us to use it. Sadly, there has been no word on this for a long time.

Warhammer also had all the cool controls for organizing a group - the drag and drop formations of groups. I can't stand ESO's system of listing large groups alphabetically.

Actually tried it on Saturday afternoon on EU and I've found a group within 5 minutes (Craglorn open world). Although the other guy waited for like an hour according to them.

For some people, the new tool seems to work just fine. The old tool also seemed to work fine for some players, but it worked very badly or seemingly not at all for others. The fact that the tool works for some people does not mean that it is not broken for a lot of other people. Sure, bugs that are not reliably reproducible are nasty to stomp out, I know, but ZOS are not even telling us whether they are still trying.

I would consider this important enough to at least be mentioned in the patch notes as an outstanding issue. The silence is disappointing.

Meh, thought the OP was going to address the broken grouping mechanism. In other MMOs, a higher-level player can group with a lower-level player.

Not so in ESO.

If a higher-level player player has already completed a quest, he or she is phased out of existence for a lower-level player who hasn't yet completed the same quest.

That needs to change.

I realize most here are well beyond the main story with thousands of veteran-level characters, so the broken grouping mechanic won't affect them. But for those out there who like cooperative play and have alternate characters, it has a negative impact.

Eso has always been difficult to group in. Player phasing, the broken grouping tool and the group leader bug. It's unbelievable that these issues are still in game and more concerning is these issues will still be there when the game is launched on consoles. It's ridiculous.

I won't blame Zos though because I'll be moderated

It takes 10-20min max for me to find a group for dungs as dps... so idk why the hell ppl say it doesent work

lower lvl people ussually dont queue and also if they are alts , they storm thru lvls. After lvl 25 i almost always get a group in 5-10 min...max is 20min wait time
