We all know that grouping for dungeons, daily pledges and craglorn can be a pain, would an option to help people use the group finder work. Just to say they earn a point every time they use the group finder and that point goes towards, say in getting a total of a hundred points. Once the hundred points is reach they would get a mount, gear etc only obtained by use the group finder. If this was in the game would you use the group finder

it not a problem of inacceptence - but a problem of functionality.

its like offering price discounts for your local transport by your town without having a local transport system...

in other words it is not used because of ignorance, it´s not used because it does not work at all.
spelling and grammar errors are free to be abused

Sorry, minor editor impulse ran wild for a second there...

The problem that I have seen the most with random people grouping is that if the delve is too difficult, then one of the players will just up and quit abandoning the others. I don't think that there is a way to prevent this from happening but it makes doing the quests in Craglorn even more difficult.

Because people will only queue for the quickest dungeon if that was the case, or leave the group if they think the dungeon will take to long.

Eitherway this doesn't solve the problem the LFG has which is its functionality and limited options to form such groups.

If they want people to use it then they have to make it work and be more efficient while announcing changes for it. This constant requesting to use a broken system will just discourage them from using it further on. It hinders it.

Or...how about a incentive such as a random reward/exp/money after completion only by using the grouping tool? Not that hard to figure out. People would use it if that was in the game. It's 2015, not sure why we are stuck in the days of EQ1 for finding a group.

LotrO's Instance Finder gives a bonus to XP and dmg which scales up as you scale the given instance. People still go in zone chat anyway for PuGs get a group together since it works faster than IF, but then party up using the IF. It is very effective that way.

While this sounds nice on paper, I already know how it would end and why we won't see anything like that (other than a possible XP bonus as mentioned):
    • Let's assme you need 100 Points for a mount.
    • People open the finder, look for a group.
    • They join a group.
    • They leave the group instantly.
    • They start the finder again.
    • Once they've got their needed score they no longer touch it.

Overall it won't help, it might even make the experience using the group finder even worse, since people would find group after group, but most of them are disbanding.

    You missed a couple steps.
    • ZoS realizes people have been abusing the system.
    • ZoS reviews data and pulls the mounts from people that haven't been completing content in groups.
    • The players who lost their mounts take to the forums with pitchforks and torches.
    • ZoS nerfs Templars.

just to point out u would not get the point if you did not complete the dungeon etc if they left the group then no point, people cant abuse the undaunted keys, iam talking about a system similar but make you use the gf tool, and the program would be on going and a random generator just like the keys for mounts elite gear etc

In the good old days you gathered outside a dungeon and called out for LFM and LFG. You kids are spoiled now a days.

That being said dungeons aren't worth doing, only things in there are BoP stuff that I have billions of and don't need anything else from dungeons.

You aren't going to find tons of ppl to join for dungeons when there's no motivation to repeat them.

If the helms were BoE and lower drop rate then I'd do more dungeons daily.

For non-crafters, Dungeons are a pretty good source of decent gear. It's people who make their own weapons and armor who can safely look at dungeons, shrug, and go on with their day.

I make better gear. So what? It's a legitimate option for players. Unless you're saying dungeons don't drop gear, in which case, I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken.

The reason why so many people skip dungeons in MMOs these days is the actual content itself and not the reward.

Lets face it, a dungeon doesn't change, its always the same mob with the same scripted environment. Even the hardest nerds will sooner or later stop finding this fun. Another aspect however is the hostility in dungeons these days. People are very rude and blame others for wipes, expect pro gamer attitude and only care about their loot and treat others very badly.

In my opinion are dungeons & premades outdated, even if you would reward a twelve headed monkey at the end, it wont change much. :( Some players might join for the points, but never for the content or the "together". Blizzard made that mistake as well with rewarding various currencies for premade content. It killed all the fun, as people no longer came for fun, but for the lootz.

If we compare this to the earlier years in MMOs then you didn't had tools or premade groups, dungeons were dungeons and everyone could go in there, even with level 1.

The first stages were mostly soloable, but as you descended the mobs hit harder and after 10 or 20 tiers a huge dragon awaited you and those you met on the road. Then you had a chest to loot and people didn't act like Hyenas, no they actually talked about it and everyone got a piece of it.

It just was a kinder place back then, no restrictions, achievements or item levels. That whole "prove your worth so that I allow you in my group" has killed a lot in MMOs these days.

As for ESO, the public dungeons are the only I really do and I wish that ZO would work on those, rather than new AV´s for premades.
