What kind of Templar build will you be using for 1.6 ?

Since everyone is using one for 1.6...I'm curious about some of the builds that will be used ?

    I'll still be healing, though I'd like to get AvA rank 10 so I can make use of the OP Vigor ability. Still 2 ranks away unfortunately.

    There will likely be a damage shield on my bar, which I don't currently have. Undecided if I'll go light armor or heavy yet. If I was going to play DPS temp I'd definitely be looking into medium armor. DPS temp with physical attacks look super viable right now.

    Templar has less dps than DK for both stam and magic, but I guess if someone didn't actually test things someone could think that.

    I was obviously not speaking for myself. I have played a templar since beta and it will always be my main. I have never had complaints about the class including now with 1.6. I have spent plenty of time on PTS and do not see anything OP about our changes whatsoever. In general I think templars have always been awesome to play, but then I don't measure a class' merits based on their DPS meter. OP is just grapsing the latest QQ train about templars.

    Its not back handed....I'm rolling one....as well are alot of other people. I'm just curious what people's plans are for their Templars.

    I'm going to be trying a magica DPS build once 1.6 drops. I didn't farm my vr14 5piece martial knowledge set for nothing!

    If that stinks I'll probably go back to my heavy armor, blazing shield spam tank build.

    It's been a while since I've played and was wondering the same thing as the OP. Are the class guides still viable to follow in the class section?

    I have a vr14 Templar now, he's mainly magicka and light armour. So when 1.6 drops I'll need a bit of a rethink.

    That said, I am looking forward to it. I'm still not going vampire tho

    Solo and PVP: DW/destro 5HA 2LA
    Heals: DW/resto 2HA 5LA

    DW for burst & passive buffs, staff for range, utility, h/dots, and regen.

    Trying to stay away from too much buff mastering in both.

    Stamina DK got still the highest DPS in the game. Templar Stam DD has decent dps but less like DK. So you are better off with your DK.

    I tested Templar Stam DD on pts for almost 2 weeks.

    Sword/Board
    5 Light Armor 1 Heavy 1 Medium
    5 Seducer 2 Bloodspawn 5 Warlock

    Sword/Board Bar:
    Invasion - Puncturing Sweep - Blazing Spears - Dark Flare - Radiant Ward - Devouring Swarm/Clouding Swarm

    Restoration Bar:
    Spell Symmetry - Breath of Life - Purifying Ritual - Radiant Destruction - Total Dark - Soul Assault/Solar Prison

    PvP build, haven't decided whether or not to use Devouring Swarm or Clouding, leaning more towards Devouring because I can just switch bars and use Spell Symmetry without having to worry about healing, at least in small fights. Sword/Board bar is where all the damage will come from, and Dark Flare for the -40% to heals, then off bar for Total Dark which will generally just screw the target over. Radiant Destruction for obvious reasons, rest is heals meant to be alternated between me and another Templar via Spell Symmetry and BoL, BoL is the only heal you need in PvP, Purifying is only there to remove debuffs like disease.

    I will play both. I figure more dps options is always better.

    My templar right now is a light armour/magicka build. I think with 1.6 I will spend some time experimenting: first I'd like to try a stamina build.

Just get on the PTS like the rest of us who actually play templars for real and make your own build to tinker with and discuss here, rather than posting repeated threads trying to get people to post a build for you to copy. This is like the third or fourth time you have posted a thread similar to this.

    I'm not the only one wanting to know other people's builds. This is for others people's benefit as well. And I'll be rolling 5 medium 2 heavy two handed Stam DPS build for 1.6
