Some people have alot of stuffs and I think in 1.6 there should be a Auction House like every MMO.Thats way we can sell our items, potions, weapons ETC.Im pretty sure Zenimax knows this stuffs but why no AH why :(((

An auction house will effectively kill all Guild Stores and invalidate them.
It would also drive the price of everything to the lowest possible (mean) figure and also remove any chance of bargains for those intrepid travellers out there that do bother to explore and go to other guild trade sites in other areas.

Gone will be the days where you can pick up a Barbarian Motif for 5k ;)

Not this again. AH isnt needed. The economy is great because we dont have one.

To do business you have to do something. Guild stores are good enough but the best market is still the real market. Zone chat and be good at it.

ESO economy does what EvE once did. Creates "content" as economy instead of trivilize it with a global AH where buying and selling is just plain stupid.

There already is an increase in deals in both stores and zone chat. All kinds of stuffs goes now to people who prepare for update 6.

An AH would ruin one of the few "content" we have left untill ZoS get out some new zones.

Buying and selling in ESO is very easy. But you have to DO something. Lazy people hates it....

That is exactly why it should not be implemented. The current guild auction system works great and allows for many distinct economies within each guild, and not just one economy in a global auction house. Features that separates the game from other in the same genre are usually good.

I made a topic about having at least a Trading Sub Forum where we can make WTS / WTB posts because at the moment we have nothing..

I agree with a sub forum but I do not think a auction house in game is a good idea.

    No. I disagree.

If you want to sell 'stuffs' join a trading guild, there is plenty of them and this was ZOS's answer to an auction house.

It's a great idea . I can't stand joining a guild just to buy stuff . I hate having to search multiple vendors to find one item . It's a waist of my time more then not . Having a centralized system doesn't hurt anyone financially and doesn't make crafting guilds go away . That's just fear tactics to keep what we have in play . That's my opinion and nothing changes it .

I completely agree. I can find out that something I want isn't currently being sold in 30 sec rather than 30+ minutes of worthless travel. And for the people saying "don't be lazy"... we are both sitting at a computer pressing buttons. I like to spend my time in Cyrodiil, not in transit.

    I could not disagree more.

ESO's economy is very stable for an MMO. The reason why is because everyone can't easily buy everything on the market and jack up the price. It's an age old economy trick with an AH system. You will log in one day and find that all grain solvents cost 3k+.

You may be able to more easily find the cheapest deal but overall prices will go out of control.

There is no downside to joining a trading guild. It's not like a PvE or PvP guild. There are usually no qualifications, except logging in. If you get kicked do to inactivity (2wks - 1month), just ask to join again and they will gladly add you.

There was no Internet in Tamriel, so doing a little leg work is pretty realistic. Besides that, having to search for the best prices is what keeps the prices from taking a terrible nose dive where only gold mats have any value at all. The current system needs improvement, but overall, it's much better than a global market of all prices being undercut until the item is worthless.

Most voices for AH sounds like: "I don't want to do anything, I want pew pew and argonian maid". Want to be competitive in PvE? Work on your build. Want to be good in 1vsX in PvP? Put effort in it, learn your class and skills. Want to sell looted items? Join trading guild. Why it's complicate for you?

Well for one its a video game . Talking about realism will just derail the whole thread . How realistic is it when someone shoots me in the face with a fire treb and I don't even blink ? How realistic is it when I craft a shield that would take a real blacksmith the better part of a week in 6 seconds ? Let's not go down the "immersion road" as some things are made for people to get back to having fun as quickly as possible . Sorry , I'm just not into "Shopping the MMO" .

Why even have sales to begin with? Why allow people to trade items? Why even have items at all? Why is there gravity? Video games require a certain level of realism, and where they draw the line pretty much determines how good the game is. Video games are not entirely realistic, but they try to at least be believable.

A good compromise would be to consolidate the kiosks into a true bazaar. So instead of having them spread across all zones, just have one bazaar per faction. As long as there remain a few kiosks out in the boondocks, new guilds still would have a chance to establish themselves.

Not an Ah but a better market for ALL players and not just those in guilds. Every player should be allowed to sell at a trader, not just guild members.

It would open up the market and the possible buyers, as people who can not sell - will also not buy. Let guilds gain a small tax per sale in their store and we have a great trading system that serves every benefit of an AH, yet doesn't kill the economy or benefits bots.
