You already spend time in Tiber Septim's birthplace when you play the Daggerfall Covenant. Because Septim wasn't Atmoran, he was Breton.

Septim was never meant to be Atmoran, as we was referred to as a Breton from our earliest references to him in the series. Him being remembered as Atmoran is merely politics; done to add to his mystique and to raise himself even further in the eyes of those who would follow him. Nords were more likely to follow an Atmoran than they were a Breton, after all.

And yeah, I know Alcaire isn't a set of islands. It wasn't a set of islands in Daggerfall either. Point stands that they've been saying that he was a Breton for longer than the lies about him being Atmoran.
