Live server is a ghost town

With everyone on PTS, the live server is a ghost town. Used to be Rawl'kha on a Saturday night was like Woodstock 2E 578. Now there's no one around.
I realize that when 1.6 comes out it will get busy, and March 17th it will be crazy, but for now it makes it really hard to do Dolmens, or run into folks in delves, which I like.
It's also kinda spooky running around in an empty world.

If the PTS is pulling a lot of numbers from live then imo it's a good thing. That means more /feedback reports and more metrics being collected by ZOS - which is what the introduction of justice/champion system really needs.

I know a lot of people who arent playing because the live patch of 1.6 could be soon. Dont want to waste xp etc. I personally started a nightblade. Hadnt ever played one before so figured might as well. Im up to lvl 25 in a few days. So maybe they rolled a new character and are leaving the VR chars for when 1.6 comes out.

All Vet areas have been ghost towns for months for me...so I'm used to it.

Also, remember that some players' builds are ruined with 1.6 and players are trying to salvage the situation the best they can by testing anything...

I am. I just got done with a Templar, took her to go play with Molag Bal, achieved VR1 and skipped a bunch of quest content along the way. Other than playing with zombies in Coldharbor, she is not doing anything. So, now it's logging on to collect hireling emails while they are still worth something, and feeding alt horses.

Honestly I havent really been playing the new character either. I have gotten to lvl 21 so far lol. Just waiting for 1.6 so I can play again.

I think alot of people are rolling alts, I just ground up a vr1 nightblade and have a bunch of quests to do. Why go and do things now that would be a detriment to getting more CP in 1.6?

XP for CP only counts in vet ranks. So your XP 1-50 doesnt affect your CP.

This is basically it. Me and a buddy just rolled alts the other day. Lower level zones are pretty bumpin'.

XP for CP only counts in vet ranks. So your XP 1-50 doesnt affect your CP.

Uhhh yeah thats why I ground him up to vr1 and parked him...... So I can do the quests at VR1 and get CP. Confused yoda is confused as to how you read that differently.

I guess it depends on where you are playing at I was thinking last night when I popped on my low level sorcerer to do a bank empty there was a ton of people around. I also noticed a goodly number in CH while getting my second VR character leveled.

Meanwhile, I've been seeing quite a few people in mid-level zones. My Templar is currently in Shadowfen, and there were more people than usual running around doing quests.

Ha, I wish my V10 zone was as empty as people say. I just wanna run the delve without everyone and their mother running it at the same time. They keep getting in my way and killing my mobs j/k. Seriously, live is far from empty.

I don't have a VR14, so I'm running my two VR chars in Caldwell's Silver zones to get the 1/2 price CP while I can.

If you are talking Vet Rawl, always been that way lol. Regular Rawl has been hit and miss, this past Saturday was Valentines Day so ya know, maybe some were out and about

If you go lower zones there are tons!!! of people. I actually logged into my EU account, which i haven't done in a while and made a new character just for fun, plopped her in DC and there were so many people i was in awe! Haven't seen that many people since beta.

I think, with the soon to be influx of new people, hopefully Vet zones will be more lively, also when 1.6 comes out and people feel its worth it to play again.

I dont have a vr14 either. I have two vr10s and a vr 8. I get 70 CP on PTS which is the max you can get.

I just started, but Glenumbra is crowded almost all the time. The previous mmo I played had about 200-300 players.

As long as the population here is >= to that, I'm a happy goblin.

Seriously? I'm sorry, this is SO not true.

This weekend I rolled a new character (yeah, that's what I do) in AD. Khenarthi's Roost was packed! By the time I got to Auridon, there were so many people online that at one point I walked all the way through a dungeon to a skyshard without having to draw my weapon once because other players had killed all the mobs. At another point, there were so many people doing a quest that one player couldn't even complete it (it was the quest that requires the player to put out fires in a village) because other people kept getting in the way.

Nope, not true. There are a lot of people online. I'm not sure why people keep starting these rumors since you realize Zeni can just, um, look at their numbers?

I was talking vet levels. I guess the 1-50 level areas are crowded. I don't have my 70CP equivalent for the conversion., so I'm in the Vet versions all the time.

Which faction, EP or DC?

For AD the most I've ever seen at one time is 4 other players in Vet zones. Chat is always silent with the exception of the random guild spam every few days.

I was on Silver Rivenspire (VR3) and Alik'r (VR4) last night and there were enough people around to do 2 public dungeons, 2 Dolmens and Siren's Cove with 4+ players at each point... in fact I realised I hadn't gotten the Skyshard in Bonesnap in Stormhaven (VR2) and so backtracked. That place was so full I wandered to the shard without having to take on a single mob. It was a bit disappointing.

If there are population problems in the vet zones then I haven't seen them.

It's not just you, I've been seeing a fair number of people in Gold Reaper's March. Gold Grahtwood seems to be empty, but I can't really blame people for not wanting to hang out there.

In my experience Silver Alik'r is one of the least populated zones in the game, with people moaning in zone how they can't wait to get out of there. But, yeah, still enough people to pug stuff.

No kidding. I only arrived in Alik'r last night and I already want to bail. I haven't hated a zone this much, based on initial impressions, since vanilla Moria... and I ripped through that material as fast as possible. All hail laurelindorenan!

If there are still enough people around to take on the group content that is a relief though. That has definitely proved to be a problem since I moved timezones!
