Loyalty, because very few people will go chasing after those time cards for this.

Because money reasons.

Here's the thing, you're going to get some whales, but with how this is being publicized, the only people who realize it's coming are people who've already committed to the game. You might have one or two people that wander in, see the, "oh, hey, there's an exclusive mount that requires I buy the game and five time cards up front, and I can get it whenever it becomes available."

But, that's a weird minority. For people already in the game, we're either already getting it, close to getting it, or not getting it at all.

Now, will this get a couple cards sold by people that are a month or two off? Yeah, probably. But that's not going to be enough to really drive "a cash grab." It's not like they're saying, "here you can have this exclusive mount if you pay us 100 bucks now. Don't wait! This is an exclusive price, and it will be 300 bucks next month." That's a cash grab. This, not so much. Especially given that you'll probably get it without spending anything extra.

Do you really think that, aside from maybe people who are close enough to getting the reward that they can do it by buying 30 days, anyone is going to spend that money to get the loyalty mount? When they'll be able to get a senche that just looks a bit different for cheaper in the crown store? I mean, sure you'll get a handful of people who will do that, but hardly anyone.
