How exactly did you make that connection? Huge jump from giving away the scroll to farming AP.

We are on the ESO forums. Pls stop trying to make sense.phtony06b14_ESO wrote: »So scroll swapping to get AP points quicker is a legit strategy? Sounds more like someone is gaming the system. It will be interesting to get ZOS' take on this.
I'm confused, how exactly do you farm ap by "scroll swapping"? Was ther intent to grab the scroll, get close to enemy lines in order to bait them and farm them there? Because I thought you meant they deliberately dropped the scroll to the opposite factino as a gift?
This is a good thing whether some are upset about it or not. All part of what makes AvAvA work so one side isn't crushed out of existence.
ZOS openly allows and supports cheating.
no use complaining about it, nothing will be done.

I'll explain the gray area here . Since there's options to enter same campaigns with opposite faction toons , there's no real way to determine this Scroll gift just isn't delivering what a player wants on his or her main faction toon . They could be trolling the other team . Now if factions were locked down tight with no loop holes to switch sides , the authenticity of this transaction being simply a truce offering would be met with less scrutiny .

This situation doesn't really contain a gray area though. It was a 1 for 1 swap with both sides agreeing.
I fully understand that not everyone on both sides agreed with the decision, but that is diplomacy/politics for ya.

The OP says they were swapping scrolls. I don't know if "another" scroll was given to AD or not, but honestly I feel it is besides the point. I know you feel that some sort of griefing could occur when these trades happen (and they could), but realistically, what could be done about it?
If you look at it from an admin's point of view, it could be hard to discern from legitimate cross-faction diplomacy and straight-up asshatery from a cross-faction player helping out his home team.
With the ability to play all sides of the field, it could be hard for anyone in charge to make a decision that doesn't set a precedent that impacts future cross-faction interaction negatively.
Blues helped me get Emperor from the EP terror regime on Blackwater couple months ago, I talked with a few AD that were regulars and we agreed to grab a DC scroll and run it back for them. It's basically a thank you to the other group, shake hands after a game, etc etc.

A scroll was a the reward for Emperor ? I had no idea my peers loyalty could be bought so cheaply . Hats off to You Salesman of the year !
