Funny thing about that.. You are NOT SUPPOSED to be a low level vampire. In the Beta tests, you could not become one because the zones required were too high a level.

Low level werewolves are about building a very tight gear builds. 16 or higher, you can kludge with armor sets. Below that, you're going to start needing jewelry to make up the difference. Also, food helps a lot. This is part of where the level 10 floor used to apply. You needed to boost your health and stamina, meaning blue food, meaning level 10. This was back before werewolf damage scaled with your weapon damage stat, and just used your raw stamina. Even then, it leads to some long tedious fights, with any miscalculation taking two thirds of your health in one shot.

Low level vampires are about having good ranged crowd control builds... which is hilarious given that vampire skills don't actually feed into ranged combat that much. With them you can use your native class and weapon abilities. So they have a substantial advantage at low levels. They're not limited to the two abilities a Werewolf is given before being kicked into the hunting grounds and told, "good luck, kid."

Honestly, so far as that goes, you could just wait for 1.6 to drop. I know your level 10 is getting lonely.

Yeah, been wanting to have a go at setting a new record, especially now that I've seen other level 10 wolves

Not really terribly hard... I did it at level 11 (at the time) on my alt nightblade with no kiting or dying involved. Took 2 minutes to think of how to slot skills for it, and about 20-25 seconds per fight to completion . The earliest I had heard of someone doing it in general at that time was level 8 .

Well, I do have a nvidia card....

Yep, shadowplay is awesome for recording. High quality for any given compression level and file size, can adjust all you need for settings, etc. And to top it off the performance impact is minimal since it uses the hardware encoder in the gpu. Do note it only is supported by Kepler and Maxwell based cards (most 600/700 and all 900 series cards), as that is when the hardware was integrated.

Frost Staff ws actually tremendously helpful. I used the Frost Wall skill to keep them away from me while running in a loop up and around the stairs, turning to throw Soul Trap and Swallow Soul on them when Igot to a corner. The extra distance Frost Wall created really helped.

I believe it. I ended up having to just spam sparks, until my stamina ran dry.
