I agree. This should have been fixed a long time ago. But there is a way to beat it even with the bug, although you need at least 3 people working together. One person has to stand in that corner where the spider usually goes underground and try to keep it from doing so while the two people kill the other two spiders. If you can do this even if the one goes underground, then wait, that spider will respawn and you can kill it to get the achievement.

Goofy, I know, but it worked for me and two other random people who happened to arrive at that world boss same time as I did.

My boyfriend and I were just able to do this tonight and completed it. We're not sure if it was patched or if it was because we decided to kill the one that gets stuck first and then attacked the others.

The real pain is that you can't hit it, but it can DEFINITELY still hit you. One of the last times I got killed was (embarrassingly) during this fight because I didn't pay attention to my health and those spiders hit like trucks, even when they're underground.

Just got it, you need to DPS the one that bugs really quickly. Sometimes she'll bug immediately though, so it's quite random. But it is possible to get it. Took me 7-8 tries with a group of 3.

Ive personally reported this bug 3 or 4 times AND provided 2 possible fixes for it in my reports. The problem is a combination of pathing and environment.

First: The spiders seems to need to 'run around' something on the ground in front of their starting positions. This indicates some uneven tiles in that area. The spiders run for the wall instead of charging straight ahead to avoid this unseen obstacle.

Second: There is a slight gap in the tiles used to make the surrounding rocks right where they meet the uneven pieces of ground. This causes the spiders to 'drop' between the tiles and under the world where they get stuck.

Anyone who has done any TES modding to physical environments since Morrowind has likely seen, and overcome, such a space/pathing bug. I know I have. Resolution is to fix the 'gaps,' change npc pathing, or both.

That being said, the PLAYER SOLUTION is to simply find a friendly dragonknight. Have a DK stand in the corner right behind where the spiders spawn - same corner they bolt for - and cast Dark Talons as soon as they spawn. DK has no responsibility beyond keeping them rooted. Kill all 3 and move on with life.

This is a resurrected thread from about 6 weeks ago, and the issue was on live. I haven't seen anything indicating it's been fixed, and assume it's still bugged. It's probably bugged on PTS but I have not confirmed that.

Tried it last night on live...still VERY much broken.

Kinda sad that this hasn't been fixed yet. Oh well maybe someday

It's ridiculous that this isn't fixed yet. I've reported it 3 times myself and I know countless others have as well.

Don't worry, now the game is free to play they will have greater incentive to fix issues like these.

Bonus solution: A clannefear summon will still aggro and attack the spider in the wall. So if you have a sorc then this is a possibility. Please note that the spiders in the wall can still attack you so watch your health when trying to maintain aggro.
