Funny thing, I actually thought I was having a creepypasta moment when I first saw the ground map. VERY first thing I encountered was a tombstone icon in the middle of a big blank area. Then noticed some writing. I thought maybe it was a memorial to someone who passed during production or something. Eventually I pieced it all together as I discovered more, but that initial moment.

Miscarcand is a large Ayleid ruins between Skingrad and Kvatch. Maybe you found that.

You might be right, the location is about right, and I had thought this when I initially looked at a map, but when I looked for images of the place most of them depicted a wheel and spoke pattern whereas this was square. Revisiting it based on this comment I found this:

    180px-Miscarcand_-_Karte_Au%C3%9Fen.JPG

Looks like majority of it is a squared pattern. So it very well could be Miscarcand.

Interesting that it has grass and such though. When I found Skingrad, it had a checkered texture floor with a translucent 8-16bit map overlay on it where they were placing stuff.

Here's two screens I hadn't posted previously. These show some of the translucent mapping. Particularly the second one.

Astrid needs to be started for locations like this everybody should share their pictures and where they were when they were taken and we should probably tag at least one mod in the original post to try to get some developer feedback on these.

there's just way too much weird stuff like this in the game not to get some feedback.

It would be awesome to get developer feedback, but I highly doubt it. We can barely get them talking about CONFIRMED content, let alone random bits like this.

Did you see the thread not to long ago with the houses that are fenced and you can only get in the fence by some crafty jumping. In the thread it was speculated guild housing, DB safe houses, and a few other things. There seems to be one in each alliance.

I got knocked through the floor in Normal Wayrest one time. (Boss that does the whirlwind attack) and found myself in a similar desert-like environment.

I could see hills, valleys and structures. I could watch the entire rest of the fight, from under the floor, though I could be on no assistance.

You guys should prepare yourselves for the possibility that these places are not "leftover" content or "future" content, but rather places that you are not suppose to access, thus confusing the game.

So when you reach these areas, the game ends up loading information from various other areas of the world and gluing it all together, kind of like the "Secret Worlds" in the original Metroid.

I actually watched a bunch of the metroid things last night after a comment about it.. then mario... and a few others. I don't think gluing is the case here. In the case of old 8bit games what happened is the player went out of bounds contained in one sector and it was forced to load something, so it pulled in whatever it could access quickly.

In most modern games particularly TES games, if you engage a fly mode and no collision, you can see other actual rooms in a dungeon or other such thing below the floor or above the ceiling. The areas are created within large 3d cubes. Even if you go outside of this box, typically all you get it unending nothing. In early TESO falling through the floor was common, and infinite. It didn't load scape code to have a place to fall to.

In the case of my finding Skingrad and the other places, these were beyond where the slaughter fish attack, but clearly from the images within the edge of the x plane. if you walk off that edge, you will still infinite fall. It probably should be noted, all the images I posted were in the same area from the same time.

The ground map actually would suggest this area was intentionally being designed as the placement of the locations were sat right upon their correct placement on the map.

    @IrishGirlGamer‌

The clock skin is Harven's Dwemer Clock:
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info642-HarvensDwemerClock.html

It's designed to work with Clock- Tamriel Standard Time which shows either real time or ingame time:
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info241-Clock-TamrielStandardTime.html

The mini-map is MiniMap by Franklin:
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info605-MiniMapbyFyrakin.html

@Tyx and a few others I think did A LOT of research, math, and such to get the Tamriel standard time down. They determined a standard day is 5.83hrs real time even though apparently ZOS said a day was supposed to be a little less than 5hrs. From what I've seen, this clock has remained consistent in timing. The real trick is synchronizing it properly.

Harven's Dwemer clock actually moves, it is a bit on the large side, but it's pretty cool.
    E9GMTp3.gif

The MiniMap has undergone a little cosmetic change(those pics were many months ago), but is still mostly the same, and can be changed around in the settings I think.

I did hear something that sounded like crying at one point under the music, but didn't hear any speaking except as a part of the music and it wasn't sad like the crying. Occasionally I've seen texture glitches on walls when you went in a building where you could see people running around above, of at the door in the big boneyard in grahtwood you could see people below in the cave area.

I can't find where I posted my others, so I'll just reshare them with you here. Who knows maybe we can get a bunch of people to share places like this.

Miscarcand & Silorn are the closest ruins to Skingrad. Miscarcand is further along the road toward Kvatch & Anvil.

I believe it, though I wonder why fall damage didn't kill you? These little heavily built places normally inaccessible except through rare glitches always amaze me. It seems like this is just a thing that they do.

Interesting that it has grass and such though. When I found Skingrad, it had a checkered texture floor with a translucent 8-16bit map overlay on it where they were placing stuff.

Here's two screens I hadn't posted previously. These show some of the translucent mapping. Particularly the second one.

that's awesome I want to go there too.

The interesting thing was, the locations matched up with the position on that map. For example, inside Skingrad, you could see writing on the ground for it.

Interestingly, I couldn't find an actual map with the same look as that one. The Arena one is lower quality, Morrowind is too new, and I don't think Daggerfall had Skingrad on the map.

I do wonder what the place you found was. Usually if it it under the map, it is something in a door or whatnot. Occasionally I've seen texture glitches on walls when you went in a building where you could see people running around above, of at the door in the big boneyard in grahtwood you could see people below in the cave area.

in this link forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/122819/written-for-the-gods-or-maybe-even-extraterrestrials#latest is the post I made back when we were having huge lag spikes I got to the huge island southwest of Auridon And found some really cool stuff.

OOH I missed that when you posted it. That is rather intriguing. As you mentioned in that thread, it was lag spikes and weird disconnects which allowed me to find Skingrad. For a long while I was actually nervous to post it wondering if I would get in trouble. Bit by bit no one said anything about it and I know they monitor the threads, so I figure if they had a problem they would have said something by now.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Miscarcand. It was to the west of it. Looking at a map, Silorn looks to be south east.
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

It's Benele's house, in the Northeast quarter of Wayrest.

I tracked down that house the other day. Its definitely haunted.

Never gotten out of Alik'r before, but Grahtwood you can get out of, and walk into a dead zone of Malabal Tor with no NPCs, but all the houses and buildings are there, and the delves, you can get into them, but the legitimate entrance is gone, so if you walk past the door you fall through the map.

Malabal Tor is exceedingly easy to get out of, I've memorized the spot to do it, Reaper's March I got out of a very small part of it once, but got stuck between two invisible walls so I couldn't go exploring

I want to try to glitch out of the Pact zones, try and find Murkmire south of Shadowfen and what not.

I was wondering in the middle of the Alikir Desert one day and I fell through the sand and ended up here. I have tried to recreate the trip but have never made it back. Has anyone else ever been here? It is a massive area with no NPcs and weird houses I have never seen before in ESO.
