I feel like I distinctly remember a ZOS dev once saying that crafted gear will always be more powerful than anything you can find in PvE. Well.... to be honest, at this point I feel lied to. The best gear in the game now comes from Vet Dungeon runs or Undaunted quests.

For people like me who would rather lie down on the yellow line in the middle of the road than spend one second of my life in a dungeon or in PvE in general, this lie feels like a slap in the face. Why did I level up my crafting skills if there are only like two sets that are even viable to begin with???

AND! I can't even buy the good gear because most of it is bind on pickup! C'mon ZOS!!! At least show the ESO economy a little love by allowing us PvP only players to have a chance at the good stuff through the purchase of it in guild stores.

And for the love of God! Please create a better and more powerful variety of crafted gear that actually MAKES SENSE!!!

Can you find this quote that you remember?

More and better quality crafted gear is fine, but it shouldn't necessarily be better than PvE Trial gear. It should just be different.

You are entitled to your opinion. The fact that you think there are only two viable crafted sets makes me not value that opinion very much.

I have suggested they make 8 and 9 traits better.....BUT.......with them planning on selling crafting research boosters in the Crown Shop, at this point the best gear can't be crafted as that would be p2w.

Not at the moment but update 1.6 will force my hand on the issue sir. Have begun theory crafting stam DK builds and see that my options are slim.......Hence the post.

From everything that I can see, the quote was about the current gear in the game at that time, and doesn't touch future content.

My personal belief is that:

1) PvE Trial gear should be the best for running trials and possibly other tough group content

2) PvP gear should be the best for PvP

3) Crafted gear should be good all-around gear. Not the best in PvP, but better than Trial gear. Not the best in Trials and tough group content, but better than PvP gear

4) All top-end gear should be good at general PvE content

How do you do this? I don't really know. But that's just my thoughts.

^^ Are you referring to crafting work stations be used or individuals with say all 9 traits being able to craft top end general gear?

We have been fed with so many lies...

Subscriptions are the way to go
They shut down servers before going F2p
Animation cancelling is an exploit and they work on it
Crafted gear is and will be the best
Macros are a bannable offence
Xp will be tracked for champion point conversion
Grouping tool is finally fixed
Feature xyz is working as intended

And many many more...

Without being able to craft the jewels, like I believe they said we would, crafted gear only goes so far anyway. Why do dropped sets have necklaces and rings and our crafted ones can't? So you can't mix two crafted sets together? The admittedly not-the-best sets? I guess if you put 2 together, only then it's too good
