Race to the Trait Research finish line (Winner- @Gyudan)

I have 12 items left to research on 9th trait, 6 each in two categories for a single character. I projected my finished date to 4/28. I will have 9 traits on all items, with all motifs including Dwemer completed on my main. I never thought of it as a race until today when a crafter I bought from said he thought he would be the first to do this. He will be done on 5/15. So for [snip] and grins, I thought I'd put it out on the forum. Probably should have put this under crafting, but general gets a wider view. I keep in mind that there should be someone able to do this before me, since I did not start nirnhone research for at least a month after it arrived.

So, for the record book, who will be the first crafter to complete research for ALL 9 traits, on ALL items, with ALL motifs on ONE character? Post your projected completion date to cross the finish line! (*)

That's some dedication right there. I'm almost finished researching 8 traits on all items on my crafting alt (all motifs learned) and feel like it's taking forever. I haven't even attempted to research nirnhorned items.

I only have 12 researchs left to start on my main crafter as well: 6 in light and 6 in heavy armor. I haven't paid much attention to it since I use 2 secondary crafters and have had access to fully researched items on all pieces for quite a while, but I guess I should be done sometime in april/may with my main.

I'm also somewhere in the May timeline. I've never missed any training time up through 8-Trait (have been done for ages with that) but I didn't hop on the Nirnhoned bandwagon right away, I missed a good month of training there. It was frankly too expensive for the first month or so to really get much going. Due to missing most of the first month of Research I have 14 left instead of 12 like others do, 7 in BS, 7 in Cloth.

Wow...and I thought I had a lot of stuff researched! G'job guys =P

I only have all 9 on cloth and wood, not even at full 8 for most smithing/medium(some 9s here and there). I slacked off a lot when I realized I don't really need 6+ traits for much and I didn't even start bothering with nirnhoned for a while.

Unless I have miscalculated, I think I will finish all 9 trait research around April 25; but that includes the ESO Plus time reduction. @Gyudan will beat me by a few days once that reduction is applied, though. Nice job!

I will have to check, but I'm done with woodworking and am working on 9th traits for Clothing and Blacksmithing. It may take a while, as I'not quite half-way through the 9th traits.

My crafter does know all styles, though. Just found my last Dwemer pages 2 weeks ago.

Hey @LonePirate‌ , @Gyudan‌ finishes on 4/27. If you finish on 25th, the crown passes to you, unless someone else is out there. Way to go.

Lets see, I have a Blacksmither who will know the first 8 traits in about 45 days, I have a Clothier who will know the first 8 traits in about the same time. She already knows all 8 in Woodworking. The Clothier has the first 14 Motifs, the Blacksmither still needs Imperial. The Blacksmither knows nothing about Wood or Cloth and the Clothier/Woodworker knows nothing about Blacksmithing. I have never seen a Nirncruxhorn thing, and I have two Dwemer Pages collected.

So, to get this all done on one character?

Due to the instant research exploit in early months there are already some who researched everything on one char.
But congratulations to the honest players, I will reach the finish line somewhere in may. I have all needed items in my bank, I just need time...

2nd place- @Gyudan‌ research completes 4/27.
3rd place- Ourorboros research completes 4/28.

Pretty amazing that completion dates are so close to each other. We all delayed start of nirnhone research-says a lot about that trait. There could be an earlier finisher out there if someone jumped on nirnhone a little sooner. Anyone?

I kick myself as I idled my crafters, other than deconning, for about a month and half. I should have had them doing research. I probably still would not have any Nirncruxhorn researched, or Dwemer pages, but I would at least be done by now with the 8 Legacy Traits.

I took like 1.5 months away from the game at one point but only lost around 15 days because I started some 8 trait researches before sub ran out.

With the advent of Tamriel Unlimited, and 10% research bonus for subscribers, my new completion date for ALL 9 traits, on ALL items, with ALL motifs on ONE character is now 4/23. I have 2 MA and 2 Weapons queued for research. Above standings should be the same unless @LonePirate or @Gyudan are not ESO Plus. It there anybody out there that can beat these times and claim the title of Emperor of Research? If so, post here. Please post an image from add-on of your choice showing completed research. I plan to post mine when last items have started research and times are locked in.

I've been done with traits for a while.... Only researched the ones that were worth a damn, and every set above six isn't worth the effort of five minutes in a guild store for the trait I need. Now I said I've stopped researching at six traits on all pieces, but there's a few exceptions, got eight on every piece of heavy armor through alts and what not. But not on one character, there's no need... The sets above six or seven traits just aren't worth it. At least not for PvP.

Anyways, grats @Ourorboros although... It isn't really an accomplishment, just intriguing

So I can come to you if I ever decide I need Way of the Arena set right?

LOL, I would say 'Emperor of Research' is an artificial title, but not meaningless. Granted, it is not hard to research traits, or acquire motifs, but t be the first in the game to do what I laid out requires an amount of dedication. If you are not pushing research, then the title will probably go to @LonePirate.

What's surprised me is how few have been diligent about staying on top of research. I really thought the competition would be more fierce.

I have all racial armor unlocked yes imperial, deadric primal, dwemor, etc..

In three days the last of my stuff clears and will be 8 trait in everything except NIrn. No nirn is unlocked but 3 Nirn currently cooking.

Yes, another 'promise' from ZO$, this one about crafted items always being better than drops, has been proven to be less than accurate. To me, saying "I'm a Master Craftsman" can only be true if all crafting options are crossed off the list. Thus, we few have chased this dragon long after it became apparent that the 8 & 9 trait sets are nearly worthless. Of course, I can make Arena, or any other set. If you're serious, in game I'm @Maester.White. (I'm a king, you bit ches

All I have is to research a few more nirn traits in clothing and I've 100% crafting. I still need to Finnish of my dwemer book though, was waiting until after the 17th because hopefully they will become more common then rare and prices will drop for them, that is if I can ever get back in game from being hacked.

I have all weapon traits researched and all traits for armor except nirnhoned (just started cuirass the other day), so I'm still pretty far from finishing. Been focusing on weapons. I have all dwemer for weapons as well. None for armor.

Wow, I always knew that people were dedicated to crafting, much more so than myself, but finishing everything in a month. Very nice to those that are close to being done! There's no prize, per se, but personally I like the feeling of having something like this finished and under my belt.

I didn't jump on the Nirnhoned trait right away, but I've got 7-8 traits done for every armor/weapon. All woodworking items have 8 traits researched. I've also got every motif except several of the Dwemer ones. Just haven't been as lucky as others, it seems (though admittedly I haven't been out farming them), at finding them out in the wild. I'm considering just forking over the gold for them, but we'll see.

Considering the time and RNG needed to get every Dwemer page on your own, and the relatively reasonable prices ( under 10k), buying is a good option I bought about a third of mine. On your own, this could take a very long time. I also bought Daedric and Ancient Elf motifs, though I have also found several of each since.
