Will people who did not buy the game before June 30th 2014 be able to pay a fee to transfer a character to console?
I dont even want to play right now in fear that I wont be able to continue my character on console.
I am begging for any type of confirmation. Be it a yes or no.Many of us would love this service. Id even be happy with a "we're looking into it".
Thank you very much

They have a Q&A somewhere about this and yes we can still pay the 20$ and transfer to the consoles

    Sorry I misunderstood.

@Dcaliber - The eligibility cut-off for the PC/Mac to Xbox One or PS4 transfer was June 30, 2014. It was a limited one-time offer, and we are not planning to offer the transfer again.

(Sorry, we know that isn't the answer you were hoping for.)

This would serve best as a forum announcement along with other FAQ - console specific like:

-Copy entire account vs transfer characters
-If the PC June 30 2014 applies specifically to requiring a digital only copy of the game vs disc based for $20
-Voice chat is supported - but more to come on specifics/limitations/options
    -resolution/FPS by platform
    -beta by platform
-console specific general forum (will the be one?)
    -console specific region roll-out dates
    -console specifics about crown store
    -console specific about keyboard integration
-console specific about guild impacts of aguild leader transfer
-console specific impacts of a guild member transfer
-console impacts of PC crowns after transfer to console

Some have answers and some don't but if an announcement was created and updated this would be great

A lot of those specifics haven't been determined yet, which is why there's no announcement, but they were very clear about the cut-off date for the cheap copy/transfer offer.

Although just to clear up a misconception in that last post: you are not transferring your characters, just copying them. Guilds will have to be reformed (I assume), but your PC character does not disappear if you copy the account to console. The two characters will progress independently on their platforms once you make the copy.

Thank you for the recommendation, @NewBlacksmurf‌! We do plan on releasing an FAQ. Many of the things you listed, we're still working out the details for and don't have answers yet.

This is exactly why I made the suggestions...there is a lot of speculation around this but by definition....account copy = copy.

Its not defined as an account or character transfer so the Guild in some respects would require a specific answer from ZOS.

ie: Players will remain in a guild but all guild will be unamed and if the Guild leader doesn't copy over...XYZ is the result. If XYZ occurs to char 1 then...and character 2 in another guild... Guild 1 and 2....while Guild 3 is XYZ and then...for characters 1 -2 but not guild 2...

I highly doubt they'd be able to transfer guilds. You'd need all the guild leadership to come over at the same time, banks, stores, funds, etc. would need to transfer. It would just be a mess.

I remember asking those questions re guild master transfer and guild banks.
For those guilds who wanted to play on console and took the temporary pc offer. They spent time stocking their GB in preparation for the console.

It isn't really anymore advantageous than a v14 character duplicate.
Also, stocking X item to sell would require new console users to save and level, which would take a bit of time.

It could also help start the in game economy.

    Need? vs Want? Whats right...

That's a really sensitive topic. IF it were me as ZOS, I would just copy everything over without a guild leader and have "ghost guilds". Obviously at X amount of time a guild leader would need to take over but I would just copy n transfer everything to reduce customer service inquiries....BUT ZOS would need to communicate an action plan about outcomes and commitments.

*Its easier to keep guilds together even if the GL is not there as if a GL leaves on PC and then comes back in March when its B2P there is a way to manage this on PC today.

If I created a guild on PC and all my guild items were then copied to either console...I would hope that I didn't have to re-create it again (the guild) and find all those people with different account and possibly character names on console PS4/Xbox One. Its easy on ZOS's part once we link our accounts to Xbox or PS4 to track. Its a dulling task for any one guild leader to do so in addition to loosing everything from PC.

This will be a split exodus form PC to either so....ZOS should just copy everything. Its better to give too much and ask for forgiveness than to keep everything on PC and confuse the initial "Buy Now and Copy to console later" advertisement that they announced last year lacking specific impact and rules other than a date..

I'm not really arguing it as a balance issue. It just seems way too hard to do technically, since so much of guild mechanics is fluid.
