world trading post

Eso needs a world trading post i cant find what i need in guild stores cause not everyone posts thier stuff and its so hard to run around different areas trying to find guild traders since people have to bid for them. I think it would be more beneficial to have a world tradinf post that everyone can open in a menu or go to a npc in all the majore towns.

Everyone should be able to contribute to one source so it can grow a big inventory and everyone has a chance to make somthing and a better way to sell thier craft items instead of everyone yelling in the chat box.

I like the way it works now. I don't think there should be a "supermarket" in ESO.

Maybe they'll eventually put material stacks in the Crown Store....
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Sorry OP, me and several others have come up with very good ideas to keep the current Guild Kiosk system while allowing a central Trading "hub" to access those Kiosks, or at least most of them. Sadly none got any traction from ZoS, they simply don't care. The only problem I have with the Guild Kiosks is it takes an hour or more to travel all over Tamriel checking every single one of them when I'm in need of something uncommon.

@Kallipsoe cam up with a great idea to bring East Empire trading Company into ESO and he explains it HERE.

I thought of a sort of "Barter Town" that would be phased via questing, you can check that out HERE.

There are several other good ideas as well, all have fallen on deaf ears.

EDIT: Sorry, @Kallipsoe's thread isn't linking to the OP but to page 2, not sure how to fix that.

Putting an auction house in from the launch would have resulted in loads more players sticking around.

I don't think the lack of an AH was the main cause of a lot of people leaving. If my gaming community(and all the other communities we brought with us) are anything to go by, the progression halting bugs, outrageously broken pvp builds, and the level grind on top of a level grind(vet ranks) was enough on their own.

There already is a central trading hub, it's called Rawl'kha

If it's not there, it's not in Tamriel ;)

As @DeLindsay stated, I do not believe removing the guild trading system is the answer. Though, the current system does need improvements in order to increase convenience to both the seller and the buyer. Many players have offered good solutions to improve the current system. In the link below is my suggestion that would improve the current guild trade system while also leaving it intact.

Its bot like a trading post will reduce gameplay just makes it easy to find what yu need and encourage players to dump akd sell all kinds a of thinks knowing it will get sold. Alot of people i know want that cause its hard for them to sell thier crafts.

I just want a town where all the traders are, you can find all the guild traders from all the factions, I would put it near the starting area in Craglorn, or in Cold Harbour.

Just let me search through all the traders without having to load different characters (haven't finished Cadwell's silver yet) or go looking for the ones in the middle of nowhere.

Eso needs a world trading post

Your first mistake. ESO does not need a world trading post, you simply want one. It's far better to write true facts even if you don't think they have the same psychological impact that sensationalism does. I would have considered your post of, "I would like an auction house." This post, however, merits nothing.
i cant find what i need in guild stores cause not everyone posts thier stuff and its so hard to run around different areas trying to find guild traders since people have to bid for them.

Two things here. First, what does bidding on a guild trader have to do with you being able to find your +3 belt of mylilpony'special? The traders are all still there even if a certain guild didn't win the bid, so what point are you trying to make?

Second, there are plenty of item listings. The real problem is that you don't want to work to earn what you want. That is the reason you are looking to buy it, and that is the reason you want a global auction house. You can't even be bothered to spend an hour running around to the various guild traders so I am sure you can't be bothered to send out a zone message advertising your needs.

You did not list what you are looking for here, but here are a few facts:

If it's a crafted item you can level your crafting, harvest/decon and make it yourself, or ask in chat for a crafter to make it. You certainly do not need an auction house for any crafted items.

If it's a dropped item you can run the content that drops it yourself to earn it. You do not need an auction house for any dropped items. Start the group yourself if you need a group. Offer incentives to the group to trade you the item if it drops for them. No excuses.
I think it would be more beneficial to have a world tradinf post that everyone can open in a menu or go to a npc in all the majore towns.

My question here is to whom is it more beneficial to have a global auction house? I ask because it is very apparent that not everyone will benefit equally from your "beneficial" auction house.

I think the current guild traders provide enough functionality. They help insulate from several unpleasant trader tactics. While they are not the best implementation for instant buyer gratification, I believe they better serve this game and community than an impersonal global auction house.

My opinion is, no everyone should not be able to contribute to one source which grows big inventory because that starts big trader price gouging along with other undesirable trading tactics.

You do bring up a good point about a better way to sell/buy wares rather than spamming zone chat. I agree with that, but I think the answer is a global trade channel, or separate zone trade channels if global channel is too much trouble.

Yep. I made endless posts about this from the beginning too before I had to take off and stop playing for awhile

I was hoping during my absence they would have wised up and fixed this. But nope - it's still a disaster and all three of my guild stores are literally empty. And when I checked the new market board thingy they added the only thing I could find for sale was level++ veteran rank items which are going to do me a world of good in Shadowfen....lol
    -
So just as I predicted the economy has become utterly useless - especially for newer players who are going to feel the brunt of this broken system.

So I hope all of the anti-auction house people out there who argued so passionately against me back in the day are happy now. Because they seem to have gotten their wish. And if this game does end up going down like the titanic they are partly responsible because of their obstinance and greed to cheat people on the unstable market.
