change to sorc summonings

A change is needed for the pet skill line. I dont think permanent pets warrant 2 skillbar slots. In my opinion, the developers should consider going back to duration summon spells like in the older TES games. This would eleviate the need to slot one skill on both weapon bars. If this were the case then the developers could buff pet damage and make it more viable for sorcs who complain about pets all the time. I dont know what do you all fellow sorcs think??? I know some of you want to get rid of these pet skills altogether. However, Im almost positive that zos will not do this. The reason is because summoning has always been a major skill / spell in the TES games. I just hope the developers fix the problem with this skilline. No one wants to waste 2 skill bars just for one skill

Oh look, it's this thread again......

Guess what? Sorcerers aren't the only class that have to slot abilities on both bars in order to keep them up (Magelight, Radiant Magelight, Inner Light, Flames Of Oblivion, etc....)

More or less the only class with a number of class based skills with this problem though. If ZoS wants to make pets more viable, this is virtually a must.

Three of the skills you mention are the same skill.... and its not even a class skill, its available to everybody... so in that sense you are correct, everybody has to put up with it for Magelight.

You mention ONE other example that is class based, and you'd hardly say that was the cornerstone of most DK builds...

The real issue is that it seems ZoS is pinning their hopes for viable Sorc DPS in end game PvE on pets........ that's where having so many slots on your skill bar taken up by them (& the mandatory pet supporting skills) is a problem.... and yes this does seem to be very much a Sorc problem.

Endgame sorc DPS specs are going to have three toggles in 1.6. That leaves two active slots per bar.

    Grippingly complex gameplay :)

Honestly just make all the buffs have to only be on one bar, problem solved.

It doesn't have to be all of them. Even changing one would help. Heck, change Mage Light to be a long-duration buff instead of a toggle, so it isn't a sorc-specific buff.

Having some toggles is fine. Having 60% of your skill slots eaten by passive toggles, however, reduces this to two-button gameplay. Woooo! :)
