LOLing that people think the Sweetroll thing started in Skyrim.

Hint: Check out Fallout 3 sometime.

I know they had the sweet roll thing going in TES III Morrowind too.

Sweetrolls go all the way back to Arena, unless I'm mistaken.
You are not. The original source of the joke is Arena character creation questionnaire:
While in town the baker gives you a sweetroll. Delighted you take it into an alley to enjoy, only to be intercepted by a gang of three other kids your age. The leader demands the sweetroll, or else he and his friends will beat you and take it. Do you:
    a) Drop the sweetroll and step on it, then get ready for the fight?
    b) Give him the sweetroll now without argument, knowing that later this afternoon you will have all your friends with you and can come and take whatever he owes you?
    c) Act like you're going to give him the sweetroll but at the last minute throw it in the air, hoping that they'll pay attention to it long enough for you to get a shot in on the leader?

Stolen sweetrolls later appeared in class creation in Daggerfall and Morrowind, and in NPC comments in Fallout 3, Oblivion and Skyrim.

They had the same question in Morrowind's Character creation too
    That's what I said. :P

Hey there, everyone. Fear not: we haven't stolen your sweetroll. Sweetrolls aren't removed; they're just different now.

So long as everyone who currently has the sweetrolls recipe learned gets to keep the sweetrolls recipe ZOS might be safe from the angry mob forming outside their office . :)

They will not. None of current sweetroll recipes turn into sweetrolls in 1.6:
    • Sweetroll = Argonian Saddle-Cured Rabbit
    • Fortified Sweetroll = Khajiiti Sweet-Stuffed Duck
    • Consummate Sweetroll = The Emperor's Venison Fricassee

I've said it once, and I'll say it again.

Zos developers can't get out of their own way.

You win. I was going to post "I match your Fallout 3 with an Arena", but didn't get a chance at the time.

Nobody thinks that. They started in Elder Scrolls: Arena, which predates Fallout 3....

I'm sure a lot of people who started with Skyrim think that.

Wutt? how can a sweetroll be anything different from a sweetroll?

Are they a can of dog food or a tub of nastiness?

    What is a "different" sweetroll?

    What?

it's a very diplomatic way to say they removed sweet rolls without saying they removed sweet rolls.

we don't have to pry it from your cold dead fingers. they are just going to make it disappear and pretend I never existed.

what it means is that essentially there there. but there will not be any food called sweet rolls and 1.6 so they stole the sweet rolls every place with similar crap which parts that are almost as good as the sweet rolls.

Actually what I meant was, the former "sweetrolls" are replaced by effect-corresponding high-level foods in the new system, but the way I take the ZOS comment is, the food name "sweetroll" will appear in some othe form, with different buffs... possibly replacing some lower level foodstuff... ("What!?!", I hear some cry, "...sweetrolls for the commoners? The outrage! Is nothing sacred anymore?" :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ) ...thus misplaced.

well I hope you're right but their answer was so ambiguous that it could be it really be interpreted many different ways.
