So? Why does this generation want a pat on the back for everything?
"Wow I subscribed to something for a whole 9 months! I deserve free things!"
Netflix never sent me an in-game pet and I've been subscribed to them for years, and even if they did, other Netflix users wouldn't be telling me to put it away all the time in every group I'm in cause they seem to think they take away heals or some erroneous thing.

Veteran Rewards, as they're called in other games, aren't uncommon. They're a way for them to thank us for keeping the faith and staying the course.

Faith? Course? I payed them so I could play the game they were selling. That in no way entitles me to free stuff. I get why the company does it, what I'm not getting is the outrage that they aren't going to be anymore. Club Nintendo is about to disappear too..DAMN YOU ESO! NOTHER FAIL! YOU PROMISED! etc..

^^This. I haven't pulled a single one from the mailbox. BANK SPACE would be a nice loyalty prize. Some insider info on the next non- cheesy, non-spacy, non-cartoony mmo would be even better
I think ESO going B2P gives a clear indication of what they have in mind for loyalty "rewards". Your loyalty rewards henceforth will be found for 4.99 in the cash shop..no loyalty required.

That about sums it up. Plus Paul Sage was also asked during this twich stream his opinion on why the game switched to B2P. He himmed and hawed, beat around the bush for a few moments (clearly uncomfortable) and once again fell back on "it was what the community wanted".
So ZoS's idea of community sure as heck isn't this forum or any of the people that were happily paying a subscription. Doesn't surprise me a bit that they are removing the loyalty rewards. Because the only "community" ZoS seems to care about is the community that was demanding to play ESO for free.

Hmm.....community is the new code word for 'investors'?That about sums it up. Plus Paul Sage was also asked during this twich stream his opinion on why the game switched to B2P. Club Nintendo will be replaced by another reward system. They do that every so often. There was one before club nintendo, and there will be one after.

Science.
Take that! With your high horse!

He went on to suggest that they read the forums and understand how unhappy many people are, but he seems to think everyone is appeased by this option because if you want a sub, you can still have one. I don't think he/they understand that the reason we were happy to pay a sub was because we wanted nothing to do with a cash shop or changes to the game that always follow.

Wish I was there... I would have asked him if the fact that 4 developers leaving on their own accord had anything to do with the BTP announcement.

^^Dat truth!
