Does anyone tank with this set and can tell me if bash will proc the fire breathing daedroth? I just picked up the second piece but have not had a chance to try it out.

Maw of the Infernal
Banished Cells
(1 items) Adds 135 Max Health
(2 items) 5% chance on light or heavy attacks to summon a fire breathing daedroth for 15 seconds. Basic attacks deals 188 Physical Damage

There is not a word about bash.

This set is horrible when you are Tanking regardless of who uses it. That stupid Daedroth stands directly on the Boss and you can't see if the Boss is winding up Heavy attacks or what not (only conal attacks) and it usually ends up bad for said Tank. It's also pretty much useless for DPS as it dies when the wind blows. I will say it's one of the more "cool factor" sets.

Yeah, the head piece looks freaking cool. I guess I will use this for my dps build for while and see how I like it. The Daedroth is annoying sometimes, there have been a few instances when it proc'd and it fooled me for a bad guy or the fire breath cone that it projects fooled me to get out of the way.

It's not good for DPS either, the daedroth DPS is very low.
The set may be decent for tanking if you use only 1 piece (health) and 1 dungeon piece of another set like Valkyn Skoria or Maw of the Infernal, for more health.
    Wololo.

If you were to do that it'd be better to just use Sourge Harvester (Malubeth - WS) as it specifically has Tanking type stats on it and both pcs are +Health.

I was kinda of leaning towards the Bloodspawn for my tank, just lacking the shoulder piece. Mainly for the 25 ultimate, which is huge, or at least for my tank, it's hard building ultimate with sword and board unless I have a target rich environment and can spam talons.

    Blood Spawn
    Spindleclutch
(1 items) Adds 12 Stamina Recovery
(2 items) 6% chance when hit to gain 800 Armor and Spell Resist for 6 seconds and restore 25 ultimate.

This one below sounds pretty good for a tank as well, but with green dragon blood and a decent healer, I think Blood Spawn will add more to the group with the increase in ultimates.

    Scourge Harvester
    Wayrest Sewers
(1 items) Adds 135 Max Health
(2 items) 6% chance when hit to create a beam that steals 720 health target. Beam breaks from targets greater than 10 meters away. While beam holds you gain 30% increased healing from all sources.

Blood Spawn is #1 for Tanking (it's being dropped to 15 Ult in 1.6).
Scourge Harvester is usually #2 (depends on who you talk to).
Engine Guardian #3 only for lack of any other good set to Tank in. (EG has a horrible proc rate on ST fights, but is awesome for AOE Tanking).

Scourge Harvester and EG are also very good in PvP based on the build.

BTW: Clicky if you don't already have it BM'd.

    @DeLindsay‌

Mephala (situationally) good for PvP too. I get great procs even in ST with Engine Guardian, personally. There is no bad proc from that one - you simply change your tactics based on what you're getting at the time.

I've even had two up at once before. If you're not getting 1/10, you might be having some bad luck. The Proc doesn't differentiate between AoE or Single Target, just using any skill on the bar.

Scourge good for some free health, Bloodspawn (still) good for some free armor,

Nerien'eth if you have none of the above.

Maw is pretty much good for looks, costume parties, and Marti Gras... (It's like a Corvette that only has first gear and comes with a 1 gallon gas tank.

Get the occasional light attack and it'll give you something, at least.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...
