I am not a ZoS supporter by any means. I hate most of things they have done.

But I have to give a kudos to the development team that made the pts changes to the templar class. The new changes and abilities are amazing and in my opinion, finally on par with other classes. I hope to see these changes make it to the live version untouched.

So to the development team that did the templar changes, fantastic work.

    ZOS does.

If all those people that played on day 1 had stayed subbed, do you really think they'd be going B2P & Cash Shop?

I seriously doubt they'd give up all of that revenue.

But so many people unsubbed due to the state of the game on release that they had to make this desperate move.

So obviously, they DO care about people unsubbing. Going B2P/F2P is a last resort for games who have purged subs and don't have the cash flow to continue operating.

Or in this case, it is a way to switch to a single business model that is the same for PC's, PS4 and Xbox One.

Also, they can make a buttload of money from the cash shop alone with no subscriptions necessary - just like GW2, which has been very successful.

GW2 has an amount of content that really entices people to buy it.
If I got back to it I am sure I am going to have weeks of stuff to do.
ESO is perfect as long as you don't get level 50, then there are basically 3 short lived trial instances and that's it.

Hey now, there's also lagging out in Cyrodiil, which is somehow even more broken today than it was when the game launched. : D

Aye. It is the only thing keeping me from quitting since they stole my Sorc's sweetrolls....the idea that I may be able to finally be comfortable with a Templar archer. Until pvp whine destroys that too at least :s
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    ZOS doesn't.

A hell of a lot of us voiced the reasons we were dropping our subs after the first month. A lot of those gave VR as the reason they were leaving.

    VR is still there.

ZOS doesn't give the slightest monkeys nut what the playerbase wants.

Vet ranks were, and are still, one of the most unpopular things in the game. Instead of getting rid of them they added to them.

I can't stand the delay before the channel for the new Radiant execute ability. That needs to go...It feels horrible. This has nothing to do with the balance of its power, so please don't bring that up.

REALLY .... that's why we get 70 cp's for v14 instead of the same as any vet 1 because of the unsub fit that hit....

Maybe because you weren't as bad off as we were? lol

I mean ***, I wrote not one, not two, but three freaking dossiers on Templar Abilities and at least a few of them from the first two (they wisely ignored me and my peers on the healing part, best to leave the healers to give feedback on that stuff anyway) have now made it into the PTS.

Biting Jabs is amazing now, Blazing Spear doesn't disappear once it's used for a synergy, Power Of The Light is instant cast, Sun Fire and it's morphs hold use, Aedric Spear and Dawn's Wrath passives are ok, and Purifying Light is better used now.

That said of course they failed on certain abilities, such as Piercing Javelin and Eclipse, but for *** sake they finally took the hint and listened.

They're not stupid, just overworked and overwhelmed, give the Devs a break.
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!

Gw2 is going to have a lot more content soon ( expansion).

Has not participated on the trial server. Are the changes to sorcerer class really that bad? Does it effect all builds or only certain builds? Reason I ask is because I have 2 sorcerers. One is vr14 so probably not an issue for that particular char.

    TRUTH^^

Three more developers left on their own in the last few weeks right before this decision. Truth is we will never know exactly what forced this to happen, but I would bet them leaving had a lot to say about the state of the game now and the fact that they have warned us not to look for anything more in 2015..
Anything useful that players are wanting added into the game all fall under the category of "Yer ruinin my 'mersion!" Sallington

I'd accept this ... if the average age of a gamer wasn't 30.

Whenever someone has nothing intelligent to say they resort to the overused and oh so pathetic "kid" retort.

As I said earlier, if they can't handle doing their jobs then maybe it's a good job they left. Games development obviously isn't for them.

If I may say a word in devs defense... being a dev myself.

In a corporation, devs have NO say about the direction of the game. The high brass decide a business strategy, talk to game designers and other "middle ranks" and the decisional process gets split into several branches.
The "dev" is the last guy in the food chain. His team leader is told what the upper levels want done (in example: redo this and that combat animation / implement better weapon swapping etc.), his team leader talks with the team devs and splits tasks between them. Then each dev does his assigned stuff and that's it. Others, will test it, others, will check how it integrates within the existing game and so on.
