January seems to be a *** month for bad news. First the ESO b2p announcement, now I find out that Massively and Joystiq are being shut down by their *** AOL overlords. That's my daily read gone :'(
Off-topic I know, but Massively has been a (if not THE) leading source in mmo news for years now, far superior to any of the other sources, they've also given ESO their fair share of coverage. So I figured it was only right to pay the guys over there our respects.

✭✭✭✭✭I'm relaxed about the ESO B2P announcement, on balance I think it's a positive thing, but the Massively closure is a terrible thing. Games come and go, but gaming news/review sites with integrity don't come along very often, and Massively was simply the best. My sympathy to all those affected by the closure.0 -
