Just roll a character for each class. Then, for each class, roll two characters, one with a stamina-based race, and another with a magicka-based race. Then, you will never be underpowered.

Other than NBs, but even they do not come close, Templar's for a long time had been one of the weakest classes compared to DKs or Sorcs. Re-rolling is an option sure, but I would theory craft and push my class to its limit. Read forums, try different builds magika/stam whatever; there is a build out there that makes your class on par with the others. The only reason I am as good as I am is because I stuck with my class and learned every ability and found what works.
The thing with the PTS and people posting things like, "OMGOOSE MY CLASS QQ ITS SOOOO BAD QQ OMG", is that most of the time they tested it with old builds and play styles instead of approaching it with an open mind. Theory crafting is not something that one can do in an hour or two, but its a process that can take a long while. Fundamental mechanics of how combat works has changed, many skills were changed and some new ones added. I think people should be more excited for this than gloomy, I know I am thrilled; but I love to theory craft lol. Once they tweak things and re-balance this new system, it will be just fine.

Why blame players for wanting to maximize the potential of their characters in a game that is poorly balanced?
It's sort of like blaming tax payers who claim every available deduction for the national debt.
Seems like if I am going sorc I am just making the game more difficult and less enjoyable for myself. Any suggestions on whether I should stick with it or just re-roll? I haven't tried PTS so I don't know how bad they really are now. Just sad because I picked sorcerer to be a magicka-based fighter, not because I wanted to play 2-pet pokemon

my first character was a Sorc, my second a Templar, third a Night Blade, and forth a DK.
Roll a DK... feels more like a caster and does way more damage even on PTS.
