Suggested Game Improvements

I have been playing this game for several months now, dabbling in every class and taking a Templar and Sorcerer up to the lower VR levels. I love the game, undoubtedly the best game I have ever played by a wide margin.

I have some frustrations and suggested changes that I think will improve the game.

Solo and Duo play is Too Easy: My number one complaint is the game is too easy. I can crush mobs with any class almost anywhere. I want to have tough fights, tough dungeons etc. When I go into a solo dungeon or meet an end of quest line mob, I finally get a chance to have a real battle and find there are three others who want to fight the same dude. So I either join the zerg or wait for respawn and hope nobody is behind them to zerg it again.

Suggested Solution: Three levels of instance zones. First is just like it is today so nobody whines. Second is called Advanced which is a harder version that is a true solo instance and the Third is Duo which is a ‘Group dungeon lite’ designed to be very challenging for two players or nearly impossible for a solo player. Add HP, enhanced abilities, more walkers and higher agro ranges etc. Make them all repeatable. This way I can choose who I want to do the dungeon without having a zerg of three guys ruin it for me. If I want to stay all day in one dungeon pulling out my hair trying to figure out a way to break a group of mobs it is my choice.

Potions are a pain in the rear: The circle is too difficult to use as a healer. I only use Magika because it is too cumbersome to switch and try to keep a group up. Potions would be much more sought after and utilized if there was a more efficient way of consuming them.

Suggested Solution: Three potion hotkeys assigned the three different potion stacks.

Bank space OMG…: There is not enough space and way too many things to fill it with. I think this restricted space hurts the market place. I like to collect everything I find and bank it, then at some point pick a crafting type and use what I have found to level and equip. I currently have all 8 char slots filled and only play 2 chars regularly, the others are basically bank extensions. This is a pain in the rear. I would gladly write a check to ZOS today for $10 bucks to have a 500 slot bank so I can play how I want to play. I have 5 guild traders full of items for sale and all of my toons are full. So this morning I cleaned out a ton of great blue gear and armor set pieces and deconstructed. At the same time I searched vendors far and wide for one or two items of a set that someone likely deconstructed last night because they had no room.

Suggested Solution: Crafting Bags. Give us bags for the various skills that have enough slots to actually hold 1 of each item for the craft. i.e. provisioning bag, armorer bag etc. This would fix the bank space issue or just make the bank bigger, like 500.

Why can’t I group cross faction for PVE? I understand PVP and I understand up to completion of Caldwell and how it would screw up the quests. But I don’t understand Craglorn or future expansions. I think you would find a much more vibrant and active VR6-14 if you allows cross faction PVE. I for one would be very happy since I started toons in different factions not realizing I could never group with friends across the line…ever…when I started them. Shame on me for not reading the fine print.

Suggested Solution: Craglorn and all future PVE expansions are cross faction. I actually think Coldharbor should be as well.

The potion wheel is here to stay. There is more than enough bank and bag space, it's just going to cost you quite a bit to max them out. This has been discussed a thousand times and isn't likely to change.

Not true for crafters. I've got a maxed-out bank, and maxed-out bags on my main crafter (including horse storage), and I still have to do the alt inventory shuffle (and all of my alts have a minimum of 90 bag slots).

Also as to the "isn't likely to change" comment, I guess you haven't been on the PTS lately. A couple of changes for 1.6 have helped to alleviate this problem significantly. First, all crafting mats now stack up to 200. Second, pets and "reward" costumes no longer take up bag/bank space.

Bottom line: in 1.6 we crafters will have a much easier time with storage. On the PTS my 240 slot bank actually holds almost all of my crafting mats - and if I didn't have so many trait stones (even with getting 200 in a stack now, I still have 2-4 stacks of each) and improvement materials (for green and blue I've still got 2-4 stacks of each), I actually would have room for everything in there. In live, I have to keep all provisioning mats on one character, all woodworking mats on another, and all alchemy mats on yet another, and my bank is still almost completely full of crafting mats.
