I'm not an expert, but why would being able to buy an end game character be "bad"? If we assume that there is a max level (VR14), why is it bad to allow VR14 ALT purchases? That is NOT P2W (in my mind). Buying something you cannot get in the game that gives you an advantage is P2W (special armor, weapons, spells, etc.). Today, any player can advance to VR14, via many paths.
I know you feel this "cheapens' your in game efforts, but that's how I feel about grinders who max leveled the first day ESO went live. Would it be wrong for me to pay my 16 year old son $40 to level my character to VR14 for me? Would that hurt the game in some way?

This whole thread not only opens a can of worms, it also attests to the "limited attention span" of the "gamers" that the announcement has attracted. I am not all doom and gloom (still got 3 subs) but let's get real. People are not going to be happy with this game till it is 100% ruined, then they will go somewhere else and do it all over again.
Buying Vr14 is pointless and I can imagine the rage if they gave this as an option and then after many had done just that they got rid of vet levels.
What I would add is that I would be ok with a skip to level 50 option, nothing unlocked, no skills leveled up just the basic points you'd get for 1-50 that is only available after you have maxed or at least lvl 50'd another character. The content that I'm interested in is the vet content not the 1-50 slog that I've gone through several times now. In comparison I enjoy spending my time in the vet levels as gear you find stays relevant long enough to feel like an actual reward, the combat is challenging and you're at least in a basic enough state to start really enjoying yourself in PvP. There are other classes I REALLY want to try out but the repeat content is making that a slog. This is on ZOS for how heavily they lean on that repeat content to extend the life of the game.

The whole problem with this is that VR levels are gone in June-ish,

The OP literally wants an endgame character and not have to work for it. He feels entitled to it cause he can afford it with his wallet. His complaint was not about the content but his lack of available time to even complete the content available.Buying Vr14 is pointless and I can imagine the rage if they gave this as an option and then after many had done just that they got rid of vet levels.

The whole problem with this is that VR levels are gone in June-ish, so you are basically buying an "end game" toon. So back to the point, why have levels at all. Other than to turn a profit, this will "disadvantage" someone else, who cannot buy end game characters. So lets be fair, I mean really "fair", and just say you get it all when you buy. Levels, done. All zones, done. And PVP should just be one campaign, no Vet/non Vet ones. I mean really, you can't just buy an end game character-slouch, get a job. (Okay, being a tad extreme, but you see where it is going?)
I 100% agree, after Malog Bal is dead...for me the rest is just mindless repeat. I love to explore, but to have to at least do Cadwell's Silver to unlock the other zones is.....And there should be a better way to do it, but "buying" your way past it does not, IMO, hold the right answer. And let's be honest, if it wasn't so boring, there would be a whole heck of a lot less complaints.
For example, IF there was enough content, that you could pick a new area to start and run. Then you could start in any of the 3 zones, new experience each time you leveled.....less wanting to bypass it, right?
@BBSooner - I did state June-ish. I am in no way predicting like they are gone, merely stating that they will be, when 1.7 drops. So even suggesting you get to buy VR14 toons means that someone, if ZOS allowed this, would get to gain skills, armor, weapons, etc. that someone else, who could not buy end game characters, may never be able to achieve.

EDIT: The ish part could even mean June 2098 at the rate things are happening.

I was more curious if there was a statement confirming, Since most estimates are more like late Q3 or Q4.

Absolutely not! This is the very definition of pay-to-win. You could always wait for vet levels to get removed, it doesn't take that long for 1-50.
But if you don't have enough time then honestly I don't think MMOs are for you. Sorry but it's just true.
This feeling will get worse in 1.6. You want a mountain of grind, with tiny incremental rewards? Then you want the champion system, my friend.

If your play time is limited you won't get as far as players who invest more time into the game. And the circumstances of other players' available spare time do not matter at all. I hope that ZOS will never introduce such level skipping purchases as available in WoW.
I have limited play time as well due to a 9-5 job and my highest char is VR11. I'm absolutely happy with that and will work on progression whenever I've got the time. Should I never reach VR14, so be it; it's only a game.
Me? I'd never buy levels; but I imagine most of you already HAVE. They are called rings of Mara (?). They speed up your leveling, which is exactly what the OP wanted; only he wanted to pay more for even faster leveling.
