What is good DPS in 1.6?

I'm not talking about burst dps here. I'm talking about sustained dps--30 seconds and longer.

I'm just curious what kind of numbers people have been seeing. I've been playing with a magicka templar a lot on PTS so far and right now I'm capping out around 6500 --This is with one other person tanking a boss and no other buffs or assistance from other players .

I'd like to know what other classes and builds are posting. Also, what are people doing now that crit gear is somewhat nerfed?

I don't know the DPS rules for 1.6. (It's a bit early)
But 6500 sounds like a lot. This is at least more than my Sorc DPS.

Well you have to remember that everyone's stats are scaled by like 7 times. People have roughly 20k health now with food

Well you have to remember that everyone's stats are scaled by like 7 times. People have roughly 20k health now with food

Some people are doing fights that last 11 seconds and pulling 15-20k dps. This is from FTC dps meter chat results. My sorc barely does 4k...... so I guess I will never see those numbers lol

You sure 15-20k is not in AoE?

People in 1.5 has 3300 Health as much.
People in 1.6 has 28000 Health as much? (more or less i guess think tanks will have more)
People in 1.5 has 1700 DPS if they're FKEN AMAZING thou normal DPS is 800, good is 1100
People in 1.6 having 6500 looks like not much?

my LoL was for my shame of playing a sorc due to the fact that I wont ever see those numbers :P

I am sure of what I was seeing @eserras7b16_ESO‌ It was against world bosses in the vr10+ zones. That is what people were testing it on. The same people were going to run a trial and see but I logged off before I seen people post results.

I'm a Sorc too, I'm feeling with you. Do you think, anything has changed for Sorc in 1.6 ? (I'm talking about positive, significant changes) I feel like the Sorc buffs seem like nothing compared to the buffs and changes for other classes.

By the way just noticed the numbers should be x10 Gorthax so 15k DPS is like 1500 actual dps 20k dps would be actual 2000 DPS... and 2000DPS is not actual... >.< dunno looks like too much
6500 looks like an average dps, 650 who doesn't use weaving correctly and skills just ok.

i saw a streem with folks from NA - they vere pulling aroud 12-13k dps on Blood spawn with dk (with buff from Combat Prayer)

I have a bow/2h build on my Templar (not my primary role) and was pulling around 700 dps in the same 13s fight that others are posting a huge number for. I also was not using Ults or my Execute. I would be curious to see how it all plays out though. I'm sure I could do much more.

the highest I got was 7k on the dk caster build and that was with the flight ultimate my AoE damage is like 9k there's allot of things changed like unstable flame the main dps dealer is gone for dk's

My Sorc's best DPS killing mammoths and giants on the PTS is about 6000 DPS. This seems to take the mobs down about as fast as 850 DPS on the Live server.

There are NBs on the PTS claiming 10000 DPS! I have no idea how they do it, but I've seen people taking down mammoths in about 6 secs.

@Gorthaz is referring to a SORC when he states that some players are linking 15K+ DPS numbers using FTC in chat. I was the one present when that Sorc hit 15-16K repeatedly with a pet build against a VR10 WB.

Against Daedra/Undead I can push ~11K DPS ST as a NB using the trusted Crushing Shock build along with NB's new Grim Focus ability. The VR10 WB at Nilata Falls in Bangkorai is a Frost Atronach so Evil Hunter helps loads. Although my average ST DPS without Evil Hunter or VoB is ~7K. The 11K I got was pushing as hard as I could using Spell Pots and trying my best to weave slightly-charged heavies, while keeping up Relentless Focus + Evil Hunter and using VoB. But I have zero points in the Champion System for DPS as my MS is Healer/Tank. I also don't have the last pc I need to put my VR14 Aether set on so am still stuck with The Thief instead of The Shadow.

As for the VR5 Mammoths (for AD) I too can drop them in just over 4 seconds. I've seen Stamina builds killing them in just over 3 seconds. Burst is meaningless outside of PvP and burn phase in PvE.

Well, my VR1 NB can get about 4700 dps (according to CLS), but I'm sure my build isn't really optimized.

I run a VR14 argonian NB and have tried both stamina and magicka DPS.

With stamina and bow/two hander, with 20K stam and 2k weapon dmg. I can sustain 9-12K...This is with poison injection and cleave Dots while spamming wrecking blow +HA weave and executioner to finish...I wear 5 Hunding's rage, 3 Ashen Grip, 3 Shadow Walker...

Burst is insane with this build at 41K...a mammoth dies in 1.5 sec.

When I run Magicka, I run destro/resto build using entropy to boost spell dmg and inner light to boost crit and 24K magicka/1900 spell dmg

Armor is 4 piece Healer's Habit, 4 piece Twilight's Embrace, 3 piece Willow's Path

Crushing shock build, I can pull 4-6K sustain and 10K burst

running a funnel health build with cripple dot, entropy, grim focus, and reaper's mark, I can pull 5-7K...I managed to get 9K using this build with Veil of Blades.

From my testing, stamina is harder to maintain than magicka, but stamina does better DPS!

well since now crit pots dont stack with FOB and i cant use my standard and i cant use my igneous weapon cause they broke it...i only pull 7k and on the live sever i pull 1.4k.....but hey grind for cp points to fix that right -___-

Run Vet Dungeons and Trials for DPS tests fellas, those are the most accurate as they contain all the goodies and variables that real tests hold, such as evading deadly boss attacks (they're *** terrifying now), party member deaths and ressing, being CC, CCing adds, etc.

That said, in Trials and Vet Dungeons, I can safely say my avg is 8.5k, with a range starting at 7.2 and topping at a massive 10k for single target, and 12k Avg for AoE, with 10k at the low point and 17k at the highest, but the most normal high is 15k.

Mind you I'm a Templar Stamina Build whose Biting Jabs is freakishly powerful now, as is his Power Of The Light, and when coupled with 2H skills....Well...

Let's just say Nightblades and Dragonknights aren't the only ones to get high DPS as melee anymore.

As for Mages though, I can actually safely say all mages are about even, between Summoners (sorc pet build, actually the strongest of the mages), Storm Mages (Sorc again, weakest of the mage builds but far from useless), Dark Casters and Shadow Mages (Nightblade Magicka builds, scary as all ***), Pyromages (Dragonknight Magicka, best AoE hands the *** down, ok single target) and Solar Mages and Sun Priests (Templar Magicka, amazing PvP, great PvE now), and each one brings something different to the table and kicks wholesale ass if done right, getting at lowest 7k to the highest of 13k.

I mean ***, I know most Sorcs hate pets, but pets are apparently so strong that having just one out nets you 10k easily.

8k-12k seem to be the magic numbers right now for single target sustainable. 8k-10k is solid with 12k being top notch. At least based on what I've seen so far in videos and tests of my own. If only ZoS would give us some freakin test dummies. But they clearly require rocket scientists to design/develop.
