I don't want gold, I want ingredients

I looked in my guild bank on the PTS and saw that a good amount of provisioning ingredient stacks were turned into 'old' & 'stale' ingredients that can only be sold for gold.

I said this in the provisioning changes thread, and I'll say it again. I do not want gold! I spent hours and hours picking that stuff up specifically because it was useful, not to mention all the hours I spent restacking them after the dupe fix. I didn't go to all the trouble so I could vendor those stacks for a measly 300g.

Convert it into actual ingredients. I understand that with the new system there is less ingredients, so I don't care if a bunch of the current items all turn into the same thing, as long as that thing is useful.

From what i understand from the patch notes, the 'stale' versions are replaced (in recipes) by new ingredients that are being sold by grocers, and the cost of buying them is the same as the gold you get for selling the 'stale' versions.

So you should be able to sell the stales, buy the new ones for the gold you got, and be able to craft.

I'll check it out, thanks for the info.

I think the key bullet point for you to check out is this @badmojo:
All provisioned items and provisioning ingredients, including those already in your inventory, will have automatically been converted to the new Provisioning system. Some ingredients from the old system are no longer used, but can be sold for exactly the purchase price of fresh ingredients.

Yeah I guess that's not bad then if they sell for the price of ingredients. I still would have rather they converted it for me, when it goes live I'll probably just pocket the money out of laziness, and to make some space in the bank.

I'm not sure where I got the idea stacks were 300g when they're actually 1k. I was up late last night, that's the excuse I'll go with.
